hard lines people, like the man says keep the faith.....I sense a Bon Jovi theme somehow after watching the highlights of our game (Cas), great video by the way.

Anyway stay with it and when you're back to strength you'll cause problems for any team.

I thought we were excellent at times and feel we do have the players who can cover the current injuries, indeed we showed against York we can cover the injuries. However I also felt we lacked ideas at times, too often we ran towards them, saw a wall of blokes so stopped and tried to run away, well once you are running sideways and backwards you are more often than not going to lose out. Best bet would be to take the tackle go down easy so you can get up quick and try to play them offside. We have players who do this very well when needed.

Injuries are a part of the game but we do seem to be suffering badly this year. Hopefully over the next two weeks we can get a couple of key players back although I suspect they will need to get up to match fitness. Then the make shift props can drop into normal duties which will probably suit them although credit to Cartlidge he is doing well in that position.

Stupid offloads and droped balls cost us this game. Twice Hunslett gifted us a set of six 20-30 yards out in the last 10 minutes and twice we fluffed it. That needs sorting out. Either don't offload or train together to ensure people know when and how it will happen. Random moments of eccentricity playing up to cameras which are not there is costing us heavilly.

Also, last gripe, use the last remaining prop to run at the line from 10 yards instead of chucking the ball 30 yards backwards. Twice today we by-passed the 17 stone prop running at full tilt to throw it to a 12 stone winger stood still who was left with 30 yards to make against an organised albeit small set of Hunslet lads.

Favorite moment of the match was the PNG chap doing a great impression of a goldfish who had just jumped out of the bowl and landed on the fireplace. icon_biggrin.gif

Well a Holiday in Egypt for me and the missus didnt do much good for the lads. 2 defeats while away a struggle against York and today again
But on return for todays game V hunslet there was not much to be down about, we had the chance to win a bit of an iffy sort of game but so did they.
They took their chance from a silly penalty at 14 apiece ( lying on too long ) 10 mtrs out and that really was the difference , we didnt use our forwards as we should have done in their 20 mtr zone .
Simon in particular was especialy hungry for the ball today he was in position ran the angle on 5 ocassions and was used as a dummy runner when hed sailed through to the line . After proving what he can do by taking 4 of their players more than 10 mtres over the line to be unable to ground it . ( More of same is needed and the BIG lads can do it )
Give them 5-6 chances theyll get you 1-2 tries, ill guarantee it.

Im bloody glad i dont play as Prop for Keighley. Both 6 and 7 would have had a clout round the head well before half time.
Jon has got to stop these 20 metre flings to his static wingers especially after hes run sideways past 4-5 of his players . Today we had 5 of them two were intercepted and we had to tackle back, another fortunately was judged a knock on , one went into touch and one Malpas caught half behind him and was left to cut back inside into 4 Hunslet defenders.
Wheres the logic or play in that . Each ocassion we were pressing their 10 metre line .????. and lost 30-40 metres.

I am not singling players out but its a daft tactic, teams look and wait for it now, its becoming a trademark.
We are at times pedantic and very predictable and when oh when are the backs going to learn to play WITH the FORWARDS.

But a good entertaining game and credit to Hunslet they looked a useful outfit and this Division is going to be pretty tight with not much difference points wise at season end.

Good to see Ben having a run out and he had a good game slotted in okay.
A few of the lads off the pace again today and its this rather than so called KEY players missing thats the main problem . A TEAM is just that and it needs all 18 players to be hitting their targets and playing with each other not just themselves.
When we do i still think there isnt much to match us in this Division.

As before a good game of rugby and glad to see a resurgent Hunslet, the Bar was busy and well run their spectators were noisy and
partisan as they should be and it was a good day out .
A lot of Keigthley faces seen today i ve not seen for an age . good to see keep coming .

I thought it was going to be a tough today without our injured forwards. We did better than most could expect agaist Cas and ground out a deserved victory against York but both matches were very physical.

Having said that, we looked good at times against a determined Hunslet but we could not keep our composure when it mattered. I still can't believe we fluffed that attack in the last minute.

For me the sin bin cost us dearly giving Hunslet just enough impetus to hang on.

Lets hope the next few weeks allow us to get some fit bodies back on the park. The return match at Keighley with two full strength sides will be very interesting.

We have lost some early ground in this very, very competetive division, but there will be lots of upsets before the seasons close.

I hope we have a full strength side for the televised Dewsbury match(es)

Cougars on telly? When's that then? If it's at Cougar Park I hope there's a good turn-out, and plenty of noise!
