Except Rooney has played as many as Gerrard and Torres combined so I'd say Rooney > Gerros. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) However in their only meeting this season Torres beat Rooney so I'd say it's a draw.

Fair way of doing it. In that case..
Zamora>Rooney
Dindane>Torres
O'Hara>Gerrard

| Quote ="Sthelens RLFC"And what if Chelsea were to win the cup this season? Would the place then go to the runners up which quite conceivably be West Brom, Reading or Crystal Palace.
ATEOTD there are 4 places awarded to the 4 best achieving teams in our countrys league. To start giving a chance to the 7th placed team (which could easily be Liverpool this season) who could finish 25 points behind the team in 4th is daft. If Man City, Tottenham or Villa finish 4th this season they will deserve that spot and there should be no qualms about it.'"
Maybe it's all just a pre-cursor to a RL/ US-style end of season play-off & Grand Final.
As in RL the final League position would determine home advantage in the play-offs with a final at Wembley (conveniently helps with funds for Wembley too)
Whilst a massive break from tradition it's possibly something Sky may want as part of a renewed (and maybe larger) TV deal.
They (over)hype up matches between 'The Big 4' as it is but imagine what they would do during the play-offs building up to a one-off match at Wembley to win the English title in front of 90,000 fans?
Matches that could be -
United v Liverpool
United v Chelsea
Chelsea v Liverpool
United v City (if they continue to improve)
Chelsea v Arsenal

I'd like to agree but on the limited ammount of times he had the ball he was given no options or support, he was left time and time again with two defenders too beat so was left with the ball into the far post. Thats the difference with Nani and Valencia, Nani needs players to make runs and drag defenders away so he can perform his tricks etc where as Valencia will get the ball and run at other players.

| Sacked United off tonight and went to Bloomfield Road to watch Blackpool against Middlesborough.
Two things arise from it;
Celtic Reserv... I mean Boro are dire. Blackpool weren't great tonight, but still spent the first half hammering down on the Boro goal. Second half they couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo from 2 inches off.
Why do the Boro fans have a a flag saying "Ultras?" The only thing Ultra like about Boro fans is, well, there isn't. They make no noise and add nothing to football as a whole. The closest they got was 8 fans trying to taunt the 'Pool fans with Donkey noises. Funny when they missed a penalty.
Oh, and Ian Holloway is how all managers should be. Personality, but a proper sense of humour when on a rant.

| Really enjoyed the Milan/Utd game. First 10 minutes Milan were on fire but Utd gradually worked themselves into the game. Rooney was superb 2nd half and the midfield three were also excellent in the second half with Fletcher again top notch.
The final Milan goal has made it more of a game for the next leg as before that it was game over, hopefully Vidic should be back as Evans had a very shaky match.

Im definitely not, he's out at the end of the season.
Some rumours are saying Milan will use Huntelaar as bait/part of the deal - I think I'd take them up on that offer so long as it's not a straight swap.

| Viera's got to be banned for that, hasn't he?
What the hell is Hiddink doing managing Turkey? He could probably be the manager of any of the top 5 in England if he just waited for the opportunity, rather than jumping in for any job whenever he's out of a job.

Hiddink seems to like the cosmopolitan lifestyle and international management is always an easy meal ticket. A few days work a year, a few paid trips abroad and the chance to watch a lot of football, all whilst having the majority of the year off, bar the odd official function. Turkey is a nice place when you lift the kind of high society lifestyle he will be living, plenty of sunshine. Hardly a bind.
Compare that to waiting a year or two for a manager to be sacked at an appropriate club and for him to actually get the job. Massive stress and pressure, more often than not with absolutely no control over player signings or departures. Less money, full time work in rainy England. I know which I'd do.

Well originally he was due on the bench around the time of the City CC game at OT and he is still not back fit. If you are asking me do I think he will play again for Utd then yes I do. I doubt very much he will be here next season though even though Fergie said at the weekend he wanted him to.

Aye.
The Valencia sub changed the game IMO. United were awful in the first half, Evans/Rio had a nightmare. I thought Rafael played very well against Ronaldinho who looks like he has learnt how to play football again.
I didn't think Rooney had a good game, but did what he is meant to do and scored two decent goals. We've got to be favourites now, as long as we don't play like d*cks we should go through.
It's nice to see Gill's attempts to kill the GG failed as Milan was turned Green and Gold. ![Cool icon_cool.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_cool.gif)

He's got a slight tweak. Fergie isn't allowed to risk him as any further injury will significantly reduce his price. When fit he'll be back, playing well, ready for a £25m deal out of Old Trafford.
Last night proved how much we need him back though. We were awful defensively. Fergie has got a job and a half trying to find a decent replacement for Vidic, almost impossible.

Kjaer at Palermo seems to be one option, around £10-15m. Cheillini is another but would be £20-25m and I am not sure if he wants to leave Juve? Also apparently we have been tracking a Brazillian defender at Porto but his names escapes me.

I'd take Chiellini. I think we'll spend a fair bit this summer, the Glazer's want to "prove" to United fans that all is not doomed, so will take a nice chunky loan out to cover over the cracks.
We need a keeper, centre back, creative midfielder and striker really.
