If the NFL attempt to ban him for what basically amounts to some allegations which have subsequently been withdrawn and over which no criminal charges were brought then I'd be suing the living hell out of them if I was Roethlisberger.

If you can take drugs, get caught and still not get suspended (yes Venus and Serena at Minnesota, I'm talking to you) then there's no way this is worthy of time out of the game.

What exactly would you be suing them for? Thats a pretty weak idea considering the personal conduct policy allows a player to be banned for something EVEN WHEN NOT CHARGED OR CONVICTED OF A CRIME (and Amani Toomer thinks Ben should be banned for half the year). Quite what your suing for then, i have no idea.

Also, the allegations have not been withdrawn by the alledged victim (certainly not in this case, unless you can provide contrary verification?). They declined to prosecute Ben because there was insufficient physical evidence to prove it beyond reasonable doubt, if any physical evidence at all. The woman in this case wrote a letter to say she didn't want to prosecute Ben because of the intrusion it would cause to her which is understandable given comments and attitudes (not on here) that many people seem to have about her/people in her situation.

Do i think Ben has done what has been alledged, i have no idea really, but he's put himself in stupid situation twice. Maybe don't have sexual contact of any kind in club toilets Ben? If he's broke the conduct policy then he should definately be banned. 8 games IMO.

Again you seem to be suggesting the woman has subsequently retracted her version of events, i haven't read that she has (if you could provide evidence she has?). There was/is insufficient evidence to take it to trial. She said she didn't want it to go to trial since it would cause her intrusion, she has not retracted anything as far as i've read, which is understandable. The DA said this had NO IMPACT on whether he was taken to trial/charged, rather the lack of concrete evidence. Where you get this "not have the knackers to take it all the way" from i don't know, and frankly is abit out of order.

Ben has obviously been stupid and deserves a ban. If you don't want to be accused of it Ben then maybe only have sexual contact with woman you know/haven't just met in a club/have taken out on a date etc. Suspending him would send out a message that you conduct is paramount and even when not necessarily guilty of a crime you will be punished.

I think Ben should get 8 games, he likely gets none or maximum 4. As for the comparisons with other instances they are largely irrelevant to this discussion but IMO illegal drugs should carry a mandatory 1 year ban and likewise, unlicence firearm possession, should also be a mandatory 1 year ban.

I dont think the Dolphins are that good even with Marshall sure he will improve them but they still need more players, they are apparently trying to trade Ted "drops alotta" Ginn (good luck with thats BTW hes shoite) so their still short on the WR front IMO, and if Chad Henne gets injured they are pretty much competing with the Bills for last place. I think the Jests could go well but I still reckon that Santonio Holmes will get a longer ban, then again apart from 1 game (the super bowl) he didnt really do an awful lot to help the Steelers win IMO so I hope he starts every game

, he is far too much of an off field distraction and now hes back in NY where all his drug taking homies are I can see him being in prison soon enough where he belongs. They are pretty much reliant on Tomlinson getting back to his best again aswell IMO, Shonn Greene is good but with Leon Washington coming back from a serious injury(if hes still there next season) all it will take is an injury to one of them and there strugging again.

I have in the past had a difference of opinion with ST Conroy over his view of Josh McDaniels but i have to admit he needs to work on his relationship with his players.

After a few weeks in the job his QB wanted a trade,all season there was friction between him and Marshall and now he's gone.Also now Dumervil and Scheffler are refusing to paticapate in off season workouts and want to leave.If he keeps going he's going to have no good players left.

McDaniels is an idiot, he's ruining his team. He ran Cutler out of town in exchange for a guy who can't throw downfield (and now Quinn also). He's lost his best reciever, is ruining his second best reciever Eddie Royal as a result of getting a crap QB and could lose his best TE and DE/OLB. Add that to trading his first round pick this year for a rubbish CB.

It might minimise mistakes but i do not buy it rips to shreds defences. Defences can close in on Denver and stack the box since Orton can throw it about 10 yards at maximum. Cutler can stretch the field.

Aside from that Cutler has a better arm and is more accurate than Orton with the exception of this year where Orton had a completion percentage of 62.1 to 60.5.

Cutler's interception stats are misleading - last year he had a frankly awful offensive line in front of him, a promising but ultimately mediocre receiving core and a back with 2nd season syndrome. The season before he threw a ridiculous amount of passes as he tried to compensate for the Broncos then hapless defense.

Admittedly, he made some ridiculous throws and he needs to make better decisions but he'll improve no end this year.

Kyle Boller signs with the Raiders as Gradkowski tore a pec this week and will be out for 4 weeks approx.

Leon Washington to stay at the Jets which is excellent news.
