Did you see any of it the game last night? The home ump had a really funky strike zone. Pretty much anything down and away was called a strike, it was pretty ridiculous. Also, really bad call on first. Not only did Millar have is foot on the bag, but Lugo didn't even touch the bloody thing as he ran past. Ump called him safe!! I don't think even Lugo could quite believe it.





Oh, and Rios is a lazy bum! I think I could have made that out to take away the HR. Move your fecking backside Alexis!



Doc goes tonight so should be a win for us. Also, they Jays just made my day by calling up Joe Inglett from AAA (Snider sent down to sort his swing out).

Lugo was nowhere near that bag but that Bay 2 run homer should have been saved. Very lazy fielding.

How did his rehab stint go? Was he posting decent numbers?

Ive not seen much of his recovery to be honest, if he is coming back then he must have been recovering well and pitching well.

Must be my lucky day today as my favourite pitcher Casey Janssen also got called up from AAA. Hopefully I'll get to see him pitch against the Red Sox next weekend. Romero is also back next week, with Ray and Cecil both sent back down to AAA.

On the same day the White Sox equal their worst ever loss the overated Jake Peavy turns down a trade to us.

The nats are awful.

We're still hanging in there with a winning record despite injuries. At one point we had our front line 3-4-5-6 missing from the starting line-up. Tremendous performances from the side to still be so close to the top. We've now got a 13-game stretch vs NL Central sides coming up which could be a good chance to catch up some games. Hope Volquez, Phillips and Votto can overcome their recent absences sooner than later.

Can you say SLUMP? I feel for our pitching staff yet again. They are doing a fine job for the most part but for some reason we have been unable to hit with runners on. I'd say time for a shake up but I know that's not going to happen. It was inevitable that Hill and Lind would cool off but our big contract players just aren't picking up the slack. I just cannot see Wells or Rios being dropped down the line-up (or sat for a game or two).



Glad to be at least back playing AL rules again though. Tallet has been fantastic if you take out that one bad game so he'll at least give us a great chance against Baltimore. Just need to string some hits together.



At least the other teams in the AL East didn't get too much of a jump on us this weekend.

A win against the Mets finally for us, Wakefield having another good game,

12-5 is a great score for us at the Fens.

Back a top the AL East, still got them Yanks one game back though.

I'd like to say we suffered a bit from having our pitchers bat. It certainly didn't help to lose both Doc and Richmond earlier than usually because we needed to pinch hit for them. But they way we've been with runners on lately, I don't think it would have done any harm to leave the pitchers at the plate! We couldn't even muster 1 run of support for Halliday. I'll bet the entire Blue Jays staff had to keep well out of his way after that game.



It does feel a bit too deja vu at the moment. Hopefully they buck up before this weekend or Friday and Saturday are going to seem awfully long at the ballpark.

I hate it when Penny pitches for us.
