Bloody hell Kingsgate Native backed from around 9s this morning to 11/2 fave.
I don't bother too much with sprints and had no bet on the race but Prohibit was always gonna be one to consider. Proven at the course and always been a reliable sort. Would've taken a bit of faith on him being good enough to win a race like this but sprint form at Ascot often counts for a lot.

Also in the 5pm, Ermyn Lodge could have a squeak. Has excellent form around Ascot (1,1,2), and if stays could have another good tussle with Zigato. Only having the two bets I've already placed so won't be backing, but 16s-20s is a fair price.

Squeaky bum time going for home then, Frankel will have to be held up far longer against top class older horses - idled like hell.

Never in doubt, he idled big time and still made it home. To go for home so far in front, and run at top speed for 4 or so furlongs and still it out by almost a length is a brilliant performance. Zoffany came home strong but was never catching. We've seen him make all in the Guineas, we've seen him go for it 4 or so furlongs out today - can you imagine if he was dropped in and Queally let him go at that speed for the last 3 furlongs, he'd blitz any field. Top class.
