| Quote ="El Pac Carnegie"Laugh as you may there is some truth in that. I'm only going off the highlights and they may have been edited in such a manner to make Utd look hard done to but to me it looked like Utd should have had a penalty in the 1st half and that the Chelsea's 2nd goal is clearly offside. If those two calls are made correctly there is a strong chance that the result is different. The Utd goal was also a clear handball. The officials seem to have got all the big decisions wrong from what I've seen in the MOTD highlights package.'"
I didn't think that the Park/Zhirkov challenge was a penalty. None of the commentators or summarisers felt that it was worthy of a pen. My first thought when I saw it was that Park was a diving **** and should've been booked. On the replays I saw there was contact between Zhirkov and Park, but there was also contact between Zhirkov and the ball. Park went down very easily and theatrically.
Lampard on Berbatov - 100% no pen.
Neville on Anelka. 100% pen IMO. Anelka's driving into the area, Neville charges into him at 90 degrees and barges him down to the ground. No attempt to play the ball is made by Neville. All the HT summarisers felt that was a pen.
Drogba 100% offside for his goal. Bad decision from the lino and he must have really screwed up with what he was watching to make that call. The only explanation for me is that he was switching between watching for the pass and the offside line and messed up badly. IMO Kalou held on to the ball too long and that could have been what messed up the lino, but whatever happened that lino won't be getting a glowing report.
Looking at Macheda's goal he definitely moves towards the ball with his arms. But IMO the ref is not in a position to see that and he has to give the goal.
So Chelsea had one legitimate goal. The Drogba offside goal shouldn't have stood, but that was cancelled out 2 1/2 minutes later by Macheda handling the ball into the net. Anelka shouuld have had a pen, so Chelsea had 1 legitimate goal to nil over United and should have also had a pen. So I'm just not getting how United have been cost the game by the officials, which is what Ferguson said.

That will be awesome.
Utd skint? That's nonsense that they are skint. Glazer spent something like £800m buying the club. The club is now said to be worth £1.2bn. MUST might talk about the debt as though it's crippling the club, but they are most the bunch of morons who were supposed to **** off to MUFC. They are just a group of glory hunting mongs who want to own a billion pound organisation but didn't think of buying it when it was available for £20m.
Utd will have to repay a loan every year that will increase in size. If City decide to pay top dollar then can Utd keep up. I know chelsea can short term but are the sheiks in for the long haul and enjoying the kudos that goes with a growing club.

| Benitez has subbed Torres with Liverpool drawing 1-1 with Brum. Is this a Gullit/Shearer moment?
[i1622: Remarkable, absolutely remarkable. David Ngog comes on for Liverpool - and he replaces Fernando Torres. There are loud boos at St Andrew's where Ngog is less than popular after his dive at Anfield earned Liverpool a draw against the Blues earlier this season. The boos could just as well be coming from the perplexed Liverpool fans. Torres also looks baffled.[/i

| West Ham put in a decent spell of play and Parker plays in Carlton Cole. Distin and Cole tangle just inside the box and both go to ground. Ref points to the spot
Mido aims for the corner but under-powers his shot and Howard saves.
Bye bye West Ham.

Although my predictions may have been slightly biased when it came to their influence on Chelsea results.

| Liverpool SHOULD win four out of their remaining five games, possibly five if they can put in a big effort against Chelsea.
Can City win 3 or 4 of their remaining 6 to take 4th? I'd rule Spurs and Villa out of the running for 4th purely on their tough run in and lack of points in Villa's case.

City have to play teams in 9th, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 17th..apart from Birmingham, they all have something to play for. Hardly an easy run in.
Spurs have 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 15th, 4th and 19th...with the exception of Bolton and Burnley (who have gone or will be by the final day) they have the harder run in.
Liverpool have 11th, 17th, 19th 1st and 18th..the easier of run in's of the three...only Chelsea and West Ham with something to play for, feel Hull will be down by May 15th.
