3rd - wasn't bad really.

Stoke 19/20 to beat Wolves. I can't understand the price. Stoke won at Spurs last week and are mightily impressive at home. Should be closer to 8/13-4/6 for me.

The only negative is a recent poor home record against Wolves (2 draws and a defeat in three meetings since the 2005-2006 season).

Match has been postponed.

I am absolutely livid with Totesport ...

Yesterday, I identified what I thought was excellent value with Totesport and placed the following bets;

New Zealand winning margins;
31-35 £11 @ 16/1
36-40 £8 @ 25/1
41-45 £6 @ 33/1
46-50 £5 @ 40/1

These were checked on Totesports own site prior to placing the bets and verified by their operator when I placed the bets by phone.

Just after half-time I get a phone call on my mobile which as I was watching the RL I didn't get to quick enough to answer so I get an answerphone message from Totesport saying that they had voided my bets as the wrong prices had been given.

I ring them back on the number which came up on my phone - no answer.

I ring them on the number where I placed my bets. After 3 attempts they put me through to Customer Services who confirm that they have voided my bets stating that their operator had given me the wrong prices.

I point out that in fact they had also advertised those prices on their website which reluctantly they agree is correct but that my bets are still void.

I further point out that but for their mistake I could have placed bets with the bookmaker who was offering the second-best set of odds for these outcomes and that in fact surely the bets are not void but subject to the palpable error rule if they are not prepared to honour the bets as taken.

Eventually after a 10 minute wait they come back and advise that they will accept the bets at the following prices;
31-35 £11 @ 8/1
36-40 £8 @ 11/2
41-45 £6 @ 11/2
46-50 £5 @ 7/1

Clearly as there is now only 20 minutes of the game left I have no option but to accept. However, I would not have staked the bet that way at those odds or placed it with Totesport as there were better odds available elsewhere.

As you can imagine Totesport will not see another penny of my well-earned.

Well that second bet is irrelevant now anyway with City drawing.

As for the top bet. Nacional won 2-1 with an 86th minute goal after going behind early. Just need Sporing to come in now at 1/3.

For once in my life I will say I love Ladbrokes

Went away for the weekend and got a text off Ladbrokes saying they were giving me a free £5 bet as part of their rewards card thing.

Ended up in St Albans at about 3.45 outside a Ladbrokes...remembered the free fiver bet

Never seen that concept before, sounds good?

Have known a few people do it in the past but perming them can get very expensive very quickly so its a bet you need to cop in the first few tries or its easy to get disheartened and move on to something different.

Its betfairs Multiples (acca really) but you can choose draw and win you get shorter odds like because your backing both but this at 21/1 £5 would of won £100 on that tonight never landed an 8 team one usually do 4 or 6 teams only did it for a laugh didnt think one result would blow it.

Oh fair enough I was thinking it was backing both results in a perm at fixed odds
