fantastic facilities at Adams park just down the A40 with free P & R to the ground - just a pity about the team at the moment...
and I reckon any sports club founded about 150 years ago and having a couple of European trophies to their name plus a few national titles can call themselves an 'institution'



regarding Pompey - well,a club that's been going for a 120 ish years with one of the most faithful and loyal groups of fans with a couple of league titles over the years plus a couple of FA Cups gets my respect...

the loss of either club would be terrible for british sporting culture and could be a pre cursor to many others folding......

Easy and v quick from m25to ground. Adams Park is in a bottle kneck on an ind estate and parkings a nightmare. Also miles and miles from train station.

I know this from watching soccer there btw, not rah rah tripe.

If you drive from Kent or Surrey, it isn't that difficult. If you take public transport it can be a bit of a pain (as can getting to anywhere in London on a Sunday).

i'm lucky cos' when I stay in London it's within walking distance of the ground

use to take me a good 1hr15 to get to the stoop from North West London. Into central and back out again. Or a about 3 different buses.

This is getting a bit off topic, But it would be my preference to stay. It's a nice ground with the facilities if used to build up a "club feeling". I have no great wish to return to a football club to be treated like a soccer fan by stewards and chucked out as soon as the final hooter goes.

Unfortunately the club has always had the ability to hack off loyal fans and an inability to promote itself to new fans and while that does not change, neither will the attendance figures.

Twickenham is served by over 28 trains an Hour as well as 29 different Bus routes........RL fans moan about anything that isn't sitauted at the foot of their garden......
