| Quote ="richardviking"They really messed things up with Bryan, but I suppose a poor buyrate for Summerslam ultimately cost him his chance. I hope it's not the end of him in the main event, hopefully if not in the title picture for now he'll at least let him beat the crap out of HHH.
Cena being back is good. They book him terribly - but he's so much better than the rest of them it's unreal.'" Hang on a min.
DB is alone responsible for the SS low buyrate?
So Cena, Punk and Lesnar are faultless then?

| Lesnar's ppv buy rates have been good since his return, hence his extended deal.
I didn't say alone responsible though. I meant he will have been scapegoated for the poor figures.

Cena wasn't injured. It's a work that they've used on this tour to get the crowd going. I fell for it big time last night after the 'X' sign went up from the ref.
Punk is pretty banged up from recent reports. He's been wrestling some big guys recently (Ryback, Lesnar, Wyatt's) and it looks like it's taking it's toll on him physically.

Gee, why would wrestling those guys cause him to be injured? Or right, they're green as grass and sloppy as hell.

Agree re Ryback & to an extent Lesnar, but Luke Harper can wrestle pretty well for a big guy who looks like a wild animal. Take a look on Youtube for Claudio Castagnoli VS Brodie Lee.

| Luke Harper, ok. But Lesnar has always been sloppy as has Ryback as well as the prototype for both of their characters, Goldberg.
They're dangerous in the ring as they turn up and get pushed to the moon before they're actually ready or capable to wrestle at the top level.

| I get the impression that they ended the Wyatt-Bryan connection because it became clear to WWE creative that the 'Universe' were just not going to have it.
Honestly Bryan wasn't going to get any heat even if he had started burning pictures of SCSA in the middle of the ring whilst urinating on a bottle of JR's BBQ sauce.

| Bryan with the Wyatt Family is just another example of WWE trying to TELL the fans what they should want instead of giving them what they actually want.

No, he's walked. I can understand his frustrations. Personally, I've always felt that Punk was a better heel than face, so I can't see why WWE wouldn't place him at #1 heel spot instead of Orton. I mean, I know WHY Orton is where he is, but WWE need to learn their nepotism is going to be the death of them.

At that point no one was sure it's only become crystal clear afterwards.
With regard to Orton the problem is that he doesn't work well as a heel in the PG era. Simply put unless he his terrorizing women in their homes or kicking people in the head he/his character doesn't have enough depth to pull it off.
Then you get him as a face and his nickname of Borton needs no explaining.
It's a shame really because as John Layfield rightly says on commentary if you were to build a WWE superstar from the ground up it WOULD look like Randy Orton but you would just have to add a HUGE amount of personallity.

| Elimination Chamber was average.
The chamber match was good to watch but Shield V's The Wyatt's was superb....... Amazing how the audience can get into a match when it is built over a period of time.
Have to ask though.
Is anyone else getting annoyed with the way WWE has started zooming the camera in an out when there is a beat down....... Have only noticed it recently but find it almost making it unwatchable?

| No Sting for WM then. Don't see it ever happening now. Resent WWE for this, because they had a chance 13 years ago when they bought WCW to do the biggest storyline in wrestling history, but at face value were too tight to spend the money. At the same time they wasted £50million on a flop football league.
Sting is probably too old now anyway, but will always wonder what dream matches he could have had with Taker, HBK, Rock etc if WWE had done what they do now with Lesnar and Batista - made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Speaking of Batista, I recently read his 2008 WWE autobiography and in parts he comes across as a nice guy, but when you come back at 45 for huge money and get pushed instantly as a main eventer despite so far poor efforts, don't be surprised to get booed out of the building. His match against Orton will be interesting, but maybe not in a good way.

WWE. It only counts if you did it while working for them. Anything done elsewhere, regardless of what it was, how many tickets you sold or whatever else, does not count.
And it's so good to see Batista doing John Cena's "I'm here for the fans even if they boo me or cheer me" rubbish. The fans are against him PLUS his character has always worked better as a heel. So, you've got this guy who the fans are legitimately booing and this guy who, not only wrestling fans in arenas but people in the wider world are chanting for, why on earth would you pi$$ those buyrates away by sticking with a "putting the boss' son in laws mates in main events" stance?
