| Scotsirish put down on the course after a horrible broken leg. Bleak for Garde Champetre too. That Cross Country course seriously needs looking at...
What was a promising start has turned out to be pretty poor today. So far...

3 wins, 2 places. (Menorah came 3rd too but only in a field of 6)
Modest profit. Could have been so much more had Hurricane Fly had actually stepped up. Ah well, theres always tomorrow...

| Win lays of Sizing Europe, Simonsig and Grand Crus.
Decent place bet on Walkon in the RSA. Massively overpriced, will improve for the trip, better ground will suit, and I love Exeter novice winning form when they go to Cheltenham.
Bobs Worth and Walkon in an exacta.
Will be avoiding the Mullin's nags, summat not right imo.

| Hearing good things about Soll in the first tomorrow.
It's owned by some blokes up at home in Whitehaven, and has been sent to train with Willie Mullins.
There are hundreds going down to watch it run, and it's said to be certain to run a good race.
It's got Katie Walsh onboard too, she knows how to win a festival race.

| Big Zeb an each-way steal tomorrow? Think Sizing Europe will win, but if he doesn't will anything other than Big Zeb beat him? Only other real danger would be Finians but I don't think he has the battle or abillity to get the better of these two. Money back if it places which I can't see any reqason why it wouldnt, something was clearly a miss last time at Punchestown coupled with the heavy ground.

1:30 - Steps to Freedom, Tetlami, Cinders and Ashes (worried about the ground).
2:05 - Al Ferof and Menorah.
2:40 - Hold On Julio and Our Mick.
3:20 - Zarkandar and Binocular.
4:00 - Garde Champetre, Fortification, Midnight Haze.
4:40 - Kentford Grey Lady, Violin Davis, Alasi.
5:15 - Triolo D'Alene (Tip of Day), Going Wrong. Hunt Ball.
Fingers Crossed
Not a horrible day, but not in par with last year. 2 Winners. 5 places.
Ready to go again tomorrow.

| Not made too many concrete decisions over tomorrow yet. Backed Sizing Europe just after Christmas, but now thinking Big Zeb and Finian's Rainbow could surprise.
Liking Harry the Viking in the opener also.
Goodnight All.
