Game in hand being United, and the way Chelsea are defending and playing long ball football, they'll be dropping plenty of points between now and May. There are a lot of hard games in the Prem this year - we've seen that this weekend. Who'd have predicted bottom place team beating a team thats top of the league and unbeaten all season? Not me.

Without wanting to take anything away from what he's done so far the timing was good fixture wise, lots of games you [ishould[/i fancy your chances in, and United and Everton which you would be up for regardless, so you could take yesterday as the first big test.

Thought the team sheet looked very negative and set up for a draw, which would be understandable, played a blinder in that respect, nicking the win.

My concerns still stand that i'll be interested in how he copes when times get tougher and the media start having a go rather than loving him , which they are likely to do at some point, you see plenty of clubs see an upturn in results when a new manager or even a caretaker steps in, but it's maintaining it.

No it wasn't jumping on board - I became interested in football around mid-1994 (aged 11), chose Newcastle to support because most people in my primary school supported either Liverpool or Man U (Man U especially seemed to gain a lot of bandwaggon-jumpers with their Double win in 93-94), so I wanted to be different to be honest. Newcastle had had a great season in 93-94, finishing 3rd in their first season in the Premiership, but they nonetheless didn't win anything, and in 17 years I have never seen them win a major trophy, so certainly don't feel I could be called a glory supporter, bandwaggon jumper etc.
