Tough choice, for me there's been four outstanding players this season.
Thompson/Ellis in the forwards, Wardle/Marshall in the backs, French would obviously be there but I ruled him out because of him missing a chunk of the season.
Ended up giving my vote to Thompson, I was in the have we done the right thing considering his injury issues in the NRL camp, but what a signing he's been.

| I got it down to 3 of Thompson, Ellis and Wardle and then decided I'd go with one of the two forwards. The only way I could split them was that I think Thompson is slightly more consistent. It doesn't seem to matter how big the game is or who the opposition is, he just churns out top performances. Ellis is an absolute monster in big games but possibly just has the odd dip here and there in lesser games (that is very rare mind).

| I voted Thompson as well. Thompson's workrate is phenomenal - really sets the benchmark for our forwards. I think everyone was concerned about his previous HIAs and time out in the NRL but he's been unbelievably consistent since the WCC. I'd put Nsemba, Marshall and Ellis just behind.

| I was considering the same options but went for Marshy in the end. I just think he's the heartbeat of this team and doesn't get the accolades he deserves. He's comfortably top try scorer this year and has left the rest some way in the distance and he's done it against the backdrop of losing his mother. I'm not sure how many other players could have done what he's done this season. An outstanding effort.

| I think Wardle for me but its very close between him, Thompson, Ellis and Junior

I'm disappointed I didn't vote for Marshy now and I've been singing his praises all year.
Great post.

| Great signs that there are so many realistic options.
