Great to hear that both clubs are investing in the women’s sides. Never been to the stadium myself but it looks decent from the pictures. Hopefully they can put money in to it. It may be a pipe dream and would probably take a few years and a lot of money but hopefully Danson will be investing in main stadium as well as Robin Park.

| Good too see us investing so much into the women's game and finally getting some use again out of the Edge Hall road facitilies.
I also think this shows that both clubs are now on even footings under Danson and that we will both work closely together going forward hopefully to a mutual benefit, Any Latics fans that still deny this fact must be delusional.

| Great stuff. I felt the womans side of things was probably under invested in for the last few years, especially in comparison to the likes of Saints, Leeds and York but that looks to be changing and rather than just going round trying to do a Saints or Leeds by hovering up the best players, they look to be trying to put long term roots down. It's very early days for the Latics womans team with them only having their first player trials this week but this move again puts some roots down and will make those teams feel valued.

| Meh, just another thing to focus on and more money to be diverted away.
Add in that the playing standards for both sports are absolutely horrible, it's not positive news imo.

| Excellent news - great to be pushing the women's game forward. Hope to see Wigan take the next step to compete with York, Leeds and Saints soon.

| Not sure if that is a good idea as I suspect it would limit the time they could spend training there and with the way fixtures are and rest days, you could never really have a fixed plan for who does what on what days, as much as it would make sense to combine resources (I don't even know where the Latics train) I think it would really hinder both teams, plus training methods would be completely different for both sports

| Yeah, the men are at Christopher Park and the women don't have any players yet as far as I'm aware as it is brand new.

| Assume they're both part time teams so unlikely to be training more than a few times per week? Don't see why they can't arrange a schedule that lets both teams get sufficient gym/field time. Seems like a good option to make the best of the resources available between the clubs

I think Warrior Winger’s comment may have been referring to the possibility of the men’s teams sharing Robin Park rather than the women’s teams sharing Orrell?
