Plenty more to follow including Tom Johnston.
Looking to spend full cap next year and McMeeken only counts for £100k and TJ £50k on the cap.
Trinity won’t be doing a Leigh, but they will build a decent squad over the next few years to be challenging at the top half of the table.
Currently another 8 players or so signed to add to the players they already have at the club for SL like Rodwell, Uele, Walmsley and Vagana.
It’s amazing what a bit of investment can do to a club.

Assume these signings are all dependant on getting promoted ? Or have they been given the nod already via the gradings ?

The new stand was not included on the initial gradings when they were awarded 11th or 12th place so just scraped in.
The stand now being open and operational gives them a full extra point which puts them up to 8th and the new owner is investing heavily in the facilities and the club infrastructure further which may improve the score further. Whilst they won’t be awarded an A grade it’s going to be a high B the way things are going.
It’s highly probable that they can plan for SL next year with London gone and Cas at high risk with Trinity pretty much nailed on and Toulouse/Bradford pushing hard for a spot as well under the IMG gradings.

That’s good news, we need more competitive teams in SL.

| I think he’s a great signing for Trinity my only worry is, and this is not a slight on Wakefield, that we seem to be circulating existing players around SL but we need the injection of new stars to make the competition more effective if we are going to entice fans to RL.

This is why youth development should be front and centre of the IMG criteria. This way clubs would be focusing on developing their systems off the field which would then feed into on field performance down the line.

| I thought the interview with Radlinski about French staying was a good read. He was saying how its obviously good for the game to have players like him in SL but he also said that he was pleased Welsby stayed at Saints. He said he thought he would've gone to the NRL but the competition needs players like him as he is one of the leading lights.
I thought for a CEO of our biggest rivals to say that was really nice.
