| So where does everyone think we will end up in three weeks? 1st, 2nd or 3rd? Will any of the top 3 drop points in the remaining fixtures?
Wigan: Leeds (a), Cas (h), Leigh (a)
St Helens: Leigh (h), Warrington (a), Hull (h)
Catalans: Wakefield (a), Leeds (h), Salford (a)
We have 44 points on Catalans and 59 points on St Helens. (Could we maybe have shown a bit more urgency in the 2nd half against Salford to rack up a couple more tries?)
You would hope that if we can get by Leeds then we would have enough to win our last two. I think a big factor will be the attitude of the clubs who have nothing to play for (and there's quite a few). Leeds and Salford may both be out of the mix by the time they play Catalans. Hull are already done. Leigh hopefully won't have put the cue on rack by Friday's game against Saints as it's possible Warrington may sneak into fourth. Its very intriguing - would have been a even better finish in a traditional league system but still big implications potentially for Old Trafford.
I think if everyone wins all of their games, we just about scrape 1st (although Saints' home game against Hull is a bit worrying). But I've got a feeling that won't happen. Catalans will win all three IMO but suspect Wigan will trip up at Leeds and Warrington will surprise St Helens. So I'll go Catalans for 1st, Wigan for 2nd and St Helens for 3rd.

| If Castleford play anything like they did yesterday against us then I don’t see how the points difference gets turned around, we should rack up a massive score, I'm also hoping Leigh will have one eye on the eliminator with a home tie already sewn up, although without a reserve side they don’t have too much scope to rest too many players.
My biggest worry is next week, Leeds have beat us a few times recently when it really didn’t look likely before the game.

| Brilliant end to the year, sky will be loving it.
Like most I’m not bothered about the shield itself, just want to finish top for a slightly easier route to old Trafford.
This week is the big one, I’m never confident going to headingly. Cas at home should be fine.
Leigh away could be a special night if winning meant finishing top, could see us bringing a lot.
I think the final week of the year, Saints are at home, we are at Leigh and Cats are at Salford. Sky could have to move the shield to 3 locations.
Looking forward to it all.

| Hell of a long way to go but i would absolutely love to finish top and get to the GF the day before probable) Catalans and Saints slug it out for the other spot. That would be a hell of a spectacle for the neutral. One which i think Saints would win and then god knows in a Wigan v Saints final.

| We shouldn’t lose another game with how we’ve played since losing the semi final, (hull fc game excluded) never confident away at Leeds but I reckon we have more than enough especially looking at their squad. Should put 50 on Cas and we have Leigh’s number, but wouldn’t surprise me if they turned us over to stop us finishing top in the last game. We’re favourites for the league and GF double if we stay clear of any more injuries. Touch wood.

We need to finish first now.
Looking at the Leeds squad it’s as poor a match day squad as I can remember, if we don’t beat them we do t deserve to finish top.

| Massive game today.
Never confident at Headingley, good start crucial because if they get on a roll, start offloading and crowd gets involved it can become difficult.
Catalans only beating Wakefield by 8 is a good result for us.

| While I will acknowledge that was a young Leeds side, that was yet another brilliant performance.

| I think we’ll beat Cas next week who will probably feel they’ve done enough. If so Leigh v Wigan will determine top spot. I can’t see our points difference being caught.

If Leigh beat Wakefield this week I imagine we will see a much weakened side against us. I don't feel they will want to run the risk of HIA's and suspensions leading into a home knockout game the week after

It will be really interesting to see what Leigh would do, should they have the chance to stop Wigan winning a LLS. You feel any other side in the league would rest players but I'm not sure Leigh would. You have to factor in them not having much in reserve anyway, so their side will look pretty strong on paper anyway, even if they rest 4 or 5. They certainly couldn't go down the recent HKR route of resting 12 or 13 players against us.
