| I just want to say what a breath of fresh air they have been. I predicted them finishing bottom. Dead wrong i hold my hands up. I still don't think thy have a good side when i look at it on paper but i am obviously wrong. How great is it that Leigh and Hull KR have shown a bit of ambition. Look at them at the top end shaking things up. The IMG licensing will only improve that. Get sh!!te like Wakey and Cas to change their ways or bin them off for York and Newcastle. Everybody always says that rugby is on its @rse and it's dead in this country. I would say its on the up. Subtle changes over the past couple of years and the IMG thing will only improve it further.

| Couldn’t agree more, Leigh have been a tremendous addition.
Ambitious and giving it a right go, not just picking up the superleague cheques and doing the bare minimum.

| The sooner the game rids itself of non-ambitious dregs like Castleford and Wakefield, the better. They've been an anchor on standards either on the pitch or off it for years.

Ah yes. But at least they own their own ground
Always makes me laugh when they throw that at us

| No doubt the club will market the hell out of the home game against Leigh, their fans will travel well (especially if they are in good form like they are currently), would aim for 20k if we can.

It's a shame that the year Wakefield finally start getting Belle Vue up to scratch that they forget how to play on the pitch.

Rumoured big news on the Wakefield front with a take over close with a backer with substantial funds.
The new stand is looking great and the pitch superb which will generate additional income.
My guess is that the move to bring Fifita back and the addition of Gale are being funded by the new money coming into the club.
It’s all well and good slating teams who don’t have a sugar daddy but the truth is clubs who have them generally gravitate towards the top end of the table.
I think the next few years will see a settled division possibly of 14. Having Fev, Cas and Wakefield in SL would make no sense I think we can realistically only accommodate 2 of those 3.
I see someone has mentioned Newcastle, don’t see what they would bring to the table over any of those 3, York I hope can be part of a SL possibly with Toulouse if we were to go to 14.
I think there is still a bit of posturing to do in the coming 12 months before licensing comes in, and teams like Wakefield, Cas and Salford really need to get their houses in order quickly, although I’d say of the 3 at the moment Trinity will be worrying, but maybe less than the other 2.
Interesting times ahead.

York and Newcastle aren't even attracting a four figure crowd to some fixtures (maybe most). As nice as it would be to see attractive big cities in the division it's just not realistic atm.
If Wakefield can sneak just one win with a home game against Castleford to come then they still have a big chance as Cas are woeful at present. That being said, some of the Wakefield defensive efforts against Catalans were embarrassing.
The big elephant in the room at the moment in respect of the future of SL is the expiry of the current TV contract. Some RL journalists are reporting that there is next to no interest outside of Sky so little bargaining power. Also saw a tweet from a club chairman that any new offer from Sky may be even lower than the last one which would be incredibly worrying for the game.

| I’m also impressed by the “can do” attitude of Leigh and Hull KR, as opposed to Wakefield, and particularly Castleford.
Nice to see things going well for Adrian Lam too.
