The club have announced that the South Stand has sold out this afternoon.
https://wiganwarriors.com/blog/2023/03/ ... for-derby/
Looking at the ticket system there's literally only a few thousand left in the East and West stands. In addition Saints tickets in the North are reserved which allows a higher capacity in that end. With a week and half of ticket sales to go we really should be looking at a sell out, especially if we go well against Leigh.
Talking of the Leigh game, Wigan have also sold out their initial allocation and an additional limited amount will be made available today after 3pm.
Happy days.

| Fantastic, all the hospitality is sold out too.
Shows how finically important the Good Friday game is.
I hope the club do an extension to the fan village in the car park outside and puts a big screen on with the Hull derby on. Book a local singer and have some beers for sale and it would encourage more people to only go into the crowd close to kick off.
The normal fan village will be full as usual.
Again should be a good money spinner.
Wonder if there was a debate wether to get south stand season ticket holders to reserve a seat then we could sell every ticket in that stand and get the attendance up to 25,000.

| Always think it would be a good idea to think of some initiatives around the stadium to try and persuade the 6-7k 'Good Friday' fans to come back to the stadium for more regular visits. When this fixture comes around it shows that there is a significant dormant Wigan RL fanbase.

Good call.
Some little pop up stands with people out talking to fans selling pro rata season tickets for the 9 remaining home games. Have them after the game too, hopefully a win and after a few beers people will sign up.
Just looking at the Facebook post for the south stand selling out and there’s plenty people on their asking for tickets.
We need to maximise this day and capitalise.

They should certainly do something with the fan village, a great opportunity to really sell the match day experience.
Plus it will be a nightmare if there is no extra room, will be f*****g heaving

If we have good weather and most of the activities are outside the club should make an absolute killing.

| Can't under estimate what this means for the club, let's call it an extra 12k on what we've been getting so far at £20 each plus spends in the fan village and you're talking £250k into the coffers

Would be brilliant if we get a sellout.
Just been on RV and it looks like their allocation is going quite well too.

We’ve sold out our initial allocation of 4500 and an extra allocation goes on sale from tomorrow at midday

| Looking at the ticket site I'd say we're above 20k with a good week to go, going to be very tough on Thursday but a win at Leigh should guarantee as close to a sell out as we can get

| Away end officially sold out.
This is what infuriates me with some Saints and Wigan fans. I get the hatred, I get the rivalry, I don't want Wigan to win a game unless it benefits Saints or its against the Aussies but the fact is both clubs need each other and moreover SL needs them both.
Wigan fill their allocation at Saints and vice versa. Both clubs take 1000's to away games, both have a thriving Academy and Reserves structure etc.
I remember back in 2006 when Wigan flirted with relegation and whilst there would've been some Saints fans laughing had it happened, lots I know didn't want them to go down due to the state of the game without them.
I won't expand on them cheating the salary cap to stay up

| re. breaking the cap, people in glass houses and all that Stu and as it's been pointed out on several occasions we apparently "broke the spirit of the cap" not the actual cap, made a new rule up just for us, once again Wigan being trailblazers

Absolutely spot on.
Some fans need to learn the difference between rivals and enemies. Wigan and Saints are the very definition of rivals & that's because of the points you put forward. There are plenty more teams who are "enemies" so to speak, of the two clubs. I'm sure there are plenty of clubs (we know who they are), who instead of seeing the current Saints side as a benchmark to try and reach, see them as a problem that need to be brought to heel.
