Unchanged 21. No Andy Ackers for Salford.
How do we think we will go? They're always a tricky opponent. Defense needs to be strong this week, generally has been great all season so far. Need to be knocking a few wins up on the bounce going into the Saints & Wire matches.

| Not sure what you have done in the S & C world but thats the fourth successive game with the same 21 man squad. Thats more or less unheard of these days.
Unless of course its just luck (as it was levelled at Saints)?

| Interesting to see if Lafai plays because he’s huge for them. If he doesn’t and with Ackers out, I’m confident we’ll get the job done but if he does, you just never know how things will click for them. They can have days like away at Hull when everything sticks and then they’re extremely dangerous.
As for us, we’ll go same again I’d imagine, with probably Singleton coming in for Mago after his horror show last week.

It’s mainly luck, same as it was for Saints for a few seasons.

I would sooner we had our luck later in the season.

That's just it - we did OK for most of last year but lost French, Cust and Farrell at the wrong time.
Re Salford - shame about Ackers - I always prefer the best players to be playing. Not sure I'd put Singleton back in personally - I'd give Mago a chance to respond to the shocker last week.

100% correct
It rattled Saints fans people saying they had a lucky run with injuries and it was over years, not just a few games, but any clear run of problems comes down to being fortunate in the main and currently we’ve been very fortunate. Saints having issues currently (and last season) with what I presume are the same S&C staff only prove the point. Anyway, that comment is probably for the other thread.
Let’s hope we continue to have good fortune. In saying that, injuries do open up opportunities and you never know who might just smash the door down when given a crack. We’re yet to see many fringe players, let alone guys like Hill, Forber or Nsemba.

Our error rate isn't helping that in any way and whilst I think we will win the game anyway, I really want to see as error free a game as possible.
Averaging 13 errors a game isn't even remotely close to being title contenders. Fix that and we will look a hell of a lot better.

| Spine of Croft Sneyd Ackers and Brierley will always give Salford a chance (I know Ackers is out).
We are 12 point favourite for this and hope we flex our muscle and put down a statement against another one of last years play off teams.
Mago has to be dropped after last week so unfortunately Singo straight back into the team.

I can't believe Isa was patched up ready to play again so quickly as that mouth injury looked sore as hell.

Im sure Isa has returned following another facial injury, one tuff player it was frustrating on the night the injury looked horrific, team doctors and the on field officials need to ensure treatment is delivered immediately, players should not be dictating if they stay on the pitch.

He has his limitations but you won't find better attitude/commitment from an overseas player.
