| All goals, be it a conversion, penalty, or drop goal should in my opinion be two points.

| Probably the most controversial of the changes.
A ptb when the ball is kicked or carried into touch will have a big impact on how teams manage the game when defending a lead. No scrums to walk to.
The handover for an incorrect ptb doesn't really impact over here as they aren't policed that effectively (Salford fans may disagree after the cup final)

| Not keen on that one. If a team is losing by 2 points 40 metres out I'd rather them be trying to score a wide to West than knock over a long range drop goal. Rewarding a team for not being able to get into good field position doesn't sit right either.

| So being offside at the ptb will now just be a six again call. I see issues with that tbh, especially in close games in the dying seconds. You can be as offside as you like to charge down a drop goal attempt knowing that the opposition are only going to receive a six again call which wouldn't help them in the slightest.

Yeah. Would possibly be better the other way around.
The golden point rule needs changing for me to the same as the NFL.

To be fair even as it stands you can just hold down on the same situation. Wigan should have done that in the Grand Final to prevent the Makinson DG attempt. I would hope/assume that going miles offside to prevent a drop goal attempt would be interpreted as a professional foul.

How is it different then to a touch line conversion to win a game?
Should we eliminate all all goal kicks and just have tries?

Because you’ve scored a try to earn the right to try for the kick, which is why a try is called a try. But 2 points from a drop goal no, there’s nothing wrong with the system we have

Because a conversion doesn't take any entertainment away from the game. They aren't choosing to take a conversion instead of attempting to score a try. Bringing in a rule that may encourage teams to kick drop goals rather than score tries has the potential to take away from the entertainment IMO.

| Brilliant. There's already nothing worse than 2 teams spending the last 10 mins of a drab game trying and failing miserably to kick drop goals. It'll happen even more now.
Some of the attempts - for professional sportsmen - really are terrible.
