| I really hope that he gets his confidence back. If he can run in a few long distance tries early in the season then that would help.
A fully fit, confident and focussed Joe Burgess would be one of the best wingers in Superleage.

| Good news, at times last year he looked like he was running in treacle. Let's hope he can get back to being the player he was.

| It’s alright him doing it in training but he needs to do it where it matters, on the pitch. I’m glad he seems to be doing well but training players and playing players are two different players.

Pretty much my thoughts. If he's fit, confident and has that pace back, he's an immense player.

| It can also be important for our defence as well to run down any defensive line breaks or interceptions

He will be for the first few months until he gets a new contract then he’ll be back to his lazy self

| Considering hed been out for practically 12 months I think we should give him a break
Prior to his return hed scored something like 38 tries in 35 games since his return from Aus.
Missed most of pre season 19 due to the injury and only came back mid/late March, and to be fair looked knackered.
Still scored 14/15 in about 23 games
Needs to up his "work rate" but his try scoring and general rugby ability are unquestionable.
If his fitness is back to where it should be then that's good news for us all, dont see why there should be any negativity over that.

I wonder how much of it was lack of fitness and how much of it was mental due to the ACL op (not wanting to pin your ears back and sprint at the speed he previously could), quite possibly both had an impact.
To see him announced as the fastest player recorded is encouraging looking at the players he would have compered against: Marshall, Hardaker, French (none of which are slouches).
