I watched the 3rd game earlier this evening and i must say its probably the best Origin game I've ever seen,i would also like to mention James Maloney I've read on the forums that at 33 he is too old,however i disagree with this line of thinking as he is still playing Origin.What i would like is too sign him on a 2 year contract and pair him with Hastings,if Hastings goes back after 1 season then we can bring in young Harry Smith

If there is any way we could afford him I’d have him, he’s a born winner. Can’t tackle for toffee and doesn’t even attempt to look like he’s trying to tackle but other than that brilliant.

Origin game 3 was a great watch but I actually thought it was pretty poor in terms of quality. Queensland had no ideas going forward for large periods specifically after HT. Also thought the kicking on show wasn’t the greatest.

I don’t think Maloney had the greatest of games either. He made a few big errors, uncontested knock-on, poor positioning for one of the Queensland tries. But the main thing was his game management when they was 12 points up with 20 to go. 2nd tackle kick to the corner wasting possession and generally just not dictating the pace of the game when it was all in NSW hands. It did help the exciting finish to the game though.

Swings and roundabouts at SOO the QLD era of dominance seems to have come to an end. That was one of the poorest QLD teams I've seen in over 19 years. If Corey Norman is your starting 6 and Mbye is your starting centre you're certainly in a decline!

Still... How good was Cam Munster, whether he plays 6 or 1 he's a champion player.

There were spells of SOO 3 that were as error and penalty strewn as a bad SL game. They're a class apart generally but they're not immune to bad play over there like some seem to portray.

I stopped my Watch NRL subscription and just pick up the games on Sky. Whereas last season I was just cherry picking the best games of each round, this season its been a bit of pot luck what you see. Some of the games have been shockers tbh. Roosters v Melbourne might be absolute top class but catch a game between tow of the lower clubs (especially during Origin rounds) and you're not far off SL

I thought Maloney had a shocker second half but was brilliant in the 2nd match. Tedesco was clear standout and, as others have said, Munster was awesome for Queensland. I would also give big raps for Jake Trbojevic who goes under the radar a little, when compared to his more eye catching brother, but is a fine player. In fact if I could choose one player to replace Lockers, when the time comes, it would be him.

Maloney didn't have his best game, but he is a class act, he showed that in Game 2. Great goal kicker too, he even knocked over that last one at the end!

A good game but not even close to being the best origin game ever.

It was a fantastic end to a good game but I agree, I’ve seen other origin games with a higher standard of play over the course of 80 minutes.

The close score and win at the death made the game seem better than what it was. The quality in that Queensland team has dropped off dramatically in recent years, as to be expected. I mean, look at we've they've has playing for them over the past 10 years...

NSW had the same issue when the lost Johns, Fittler, Minicello, Gasnier, Buderus, and Gidley
