Funnily enough that picture of Briscoe is him throwing the ball into the air after scoring one of his 5 tries at Wembley.

2 years ago yea? No one cares anymore. More recently he was seen chucking the ball in the air less intentionally and more hilariously in Doncaster.

| I saw Burgess was 20/1 to get at least a hatrick. People are saying he's playing injured though, so will Marshall play instead? He was 40/1. There is a chance Sutcliffe could play FB and Golding go onto the wing, so that would made the odds less favourable.

| Yeah,it's not just the 2 points for saints,it's the confidence it will give them going forward.I have them finishing in the top 4 and bringing all the momentum into the play offs.

I thought they would really kick-on after destroying Hull but they stuttered, if they continue this form then with the obvious boost of Ben Barba, they have to be favourites to make the GF and likely win it...

| I feel dirty but I had £20 on Saints to win the GF last week at 12/1 and they're a real chance. There's still some dam awful players in their team but the new coach is getting the best out of everyone and that defensive effort was huge last night.
I think Cas are finding out also that they may need to reign in a few boasts. The loss of only a couple of players has had an impact.

Cas still controlled the majority of the game and it took a monumental defensive effort from saints to stop them,I certainly wouldn't be panicking if I was a cas fan, maybe slightly with their defence but that's it.

Mainly agree, but there was a definite shift in attitude yesterday which looks like they might be on the right track.
I've not been worried about saints for years, ultimately because they've been soft, especially in big games. One swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but I'm definitely more concerned about them now than I have been for a long time (even when they fluked the GF!)

| Team for tonight, same starting line up as the semi, Faz and Ganson replacing Joel and Powell on bench.

The thing is we are not going to be able to stop them which makes it more frustrating. I cannot see us making the top 4 now, winning 6 out of 7 might not be enough and backing up the cup final away at saints will be such a tough task. I would say if we lose tonight we should look at resting and rotating the next couple of weeks, any slight injuries and players should be rested.

Sent a txt to a mate last night watching the Cas game, if Wigan dont win tonight then I would be using the next two games as Cup Final prep, as you posted playing Saints away after the cup final would be a tough ask. The cup break is great for the other six teams in the 8's.
