He was injured then was back in full training then he got injured again! It sort of sums up the luck the whole club has had for a few years now.

Any word on how serious it is? With his history it's always a worry.

Shaun Wane has just said 'long term' which doesn't sound good, particularly as you say with the lads history. As with all players, their welfare must come first and although we are screaming for a few bodies back, I hope the club do right by the lads who are out and not take risks. I'm sure they'll look after him.

If the rumour about Gildart breaking 3 vertebrae is right then my heart goes out to him and his family. I hope it's just rumour and well wide of the mark!

or Lockers, or even Sam T when he returns (leaving Escare at FB) so no shortage of options (assuming we ever get a decent number of players fit )

Just waiting for the thread to start up that says - we should put him on sick pay, then cut our losses.

I remember the last player we cut our losses on after reconstructive knee surgery, we released him from his contract and he went to Widnes then after that he tormented us for the next 10 plus years when he joined Stains

From what I heard there was a lot more to it than that!

there's always more to every situation, injured players are part and parcel of the game, we just need to make sure we do everything possible to get them back to full fitness so they can then perform to the best of their ability

Don't forget Joe Mellor he's doing a good job for Widnes now, after his bad injury for Wigan's U19s

2 x ACL's is horrendous, 1 was a retirement a few years ago. Manfredi has had his second, lets see how he gets on.
