The game at Wakefield today had to be abandoned due to a serious injury to one of the Wigan players. The air ambulance was sent to the ground. I just hope the young lad is o.k.

The head of youth development has tweeted that the young lad was airlifted to hospital with a severe chest injury. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

| Hi wigan fans, glad to hear the young lad is doing ok, and is clear of any serious injury, hate to see any injuries and even more so to such a young man. Hope he returns to action soon and we'll done to all medical staff  , rl is one in situations that and certainly puts things into perspective. See u all in a few weeks hull fc fan. |
