Does anyone else feel our once strength in this department has quickly become a weakness. Bags of injuries but also some of the players particularly in the pack look to have regressed. Tomkins looks totally out of condition and even less of an athlete than when he returned from Union, Farrell looks to be struggling more this year. Sutton and Club look to be carrying too much bad weight and it is showing in their performance.

You are Pacific and I claim my £5. Can't you think of one single positive in the club?

I think we have a fantastic squad of players probably the best in the comp, I think we have a very good defence and work ethic.

I also happen to think we are poorly coached with ball in hand, some of out academy players are dramatically overhyped and I think where we were once not too long ago streets ahead of the competition in relation to our conditioning we are now not and truth be told behind most clubs especially given the facilities they have and resources available to them.

I don't think these are particularly insightful observations but maybe I am wrong.

You're not wrong. Agree with all that.

On the back of a bad virus of which many players were still suffering this week I'd probably look to praise the conditioning of the players tbh. They were still going stronger then Cas in the 80tj minute and you can't say fairer then that.

I can't say I notice a huge difference in Clubb's body shape. Joel looks like he's put some weight on but that may be planned as we've got four outstanding back rowers for three spots when all are fit so he may well play less minutes. Ryan Sutton is a junior, he's carrying some puppy fat but he'll change shape over the years.

One player I thought looked in great shape was Dom Crosby. I thought he had gone a bit heavy last year but he looked big but lean last night.
