I dont have a link to hand, but I read an article today through the Wigan app, that essentially summed up to Wane saying he rated Hampshire and he had a future at Wigan.

So if thats the case, what do you guys reckon will happen with him in terms of when and what position?

Smith will be here for another 2+ years with his current contract and possible more.

Williams, providing he doesnt go to the NRL or become the next Shaun Ainscough, could be at the club for another 12 years.

Sam Tomkins you imagine will be here for at least another 7 years as well.


As I see it his future must be in being the long term replacement for Matty Smith. He has no future elsewhere as i see it. Still though, he will have to wait at least another 2+ years before Smiths contract is up. Lets hope he doesn't do a Matty Russell.

Even if true, near future, he's only going to be a backup, either to Tomkins at #1 or Williams at #6, and we still have MM to come back next year, which frees up Powell for backup #6. Sure, we need cover in those positions, as this season has shown, but will he be content to not be getting any games when everyone is fit?
