| Hi you guys. Salford fan here. Living in Gran Canaria and visiting the DW Stadium a week on Friday to see my team give your team one heck of a hiding! Then again, maybe not. Anyway, does anyone know if I can buy a ticket on the night from the stadium, or do I have to buy one in advance? Hoping for a great game. Good luck to you guys against Brisbane. Thanks

| If you want to sit with the Salford fans behind the goals (North Stand) you'll be able to pay on the gate, along the sidelines you'll have to go to the ticket office.
No need to buy in advance.

| Was told this morning that Wigan have asked Salford to reverse this fixture and also asked Leigh about hosting this game. Both have refused so it will almost certainly be played at the DW at this late stage but there has been some resistance to this game being played at home, no idea why though.

| Maybe its the fannyballers complaining about the state of the pitch?

Not that I am questioning your information, but I would very much doubt that we would look to move it to Leigh, as their ground wouldn't even hold our season ticket holders.

Don't know if it will happen but according to LoveRugbyLeague website Tics have kicked up a fuss over us damaging the pitch so want the Salford game moved away from DW so we don't impact on their promotion push vs Bury

| I believe that Wigan have asked fro the game to be played on Sunday but Salford don't want to switch the date as they are due to play a televised game the following Thursday.

Don't blame them.
Moving a cup or playoff game to another ground is one thing but moving a league game for which 9-10,000 people have already paid for is another thing all together.
I don't understand how we're in a position where we're seemingly being forced to move the date or venue due to the wishes of the football club. Isn't their game on the Saturday?

FFS, 'Tics have got a nerve!
It's been demonstrated time & time again that it's not playing SL that screws up the pitch!
Anyhow, they're used to playing on a cabbage patch, so that should be an advantage.

| The pitch was in a hell of a state before we played our first game!
And I take it we don't train on the pitch, do we?

| The pitch looked fine towards the end of the Oldham game on Saturday. This week will be a test of it as its forecast to be pretty wet all week and on game day.
Unless they have some essential work that needs doing to surface (which would mean the Latics game against Bury also being called off/moved)I seriously hope Wigan aren't being made to move a game simply to protect the pitch. Another game of football could easily have been played on the surface on Sunday (the day after the Oldham game) so I don't see why there would be a fuss.
These issues can't keep cropping up. It's embarrassing and is putting people's noses out of joint. The rugby club has an average attendance of roughly 4-5,000 more then Latics at the moment and I don't see why they should be treated as the poor relation. I support and go watching both clubs but there's an obvious bias towards one at the minute.

Neither club trains on it.
The pitch has been relaid since our first game and looked fine on Saturday.

| This situation needs to be clarified ASAP so fans can make travel arrangements to this (Salford) game and the game on Easter Monday as well. The fact that the Salford game has been removed from the e-ticketing system would suggest that there is some truth to the rumours that are circulating.
Regards EW

| As a Salford fan, and the original poster, I am astonished that Wigan Athletic are trying to blame the Warriors for the dreadful state of the pitch. The pitch was in that state before The Warriors had even played on it. And you guys get more people to your games than Athletic do. It should be them moving to play somwhere else.
Certainly interesting to see where the game will be played.
