thought the commentary team for the leigh game were very good also funny at times, hope they are also going to show the other friendly's on wigan tv as the leigh game was good

I think Tom Mills(?) was bloody annoying with his moose impressions but other than that he and Bilko do a sound job

Could not get to Leigh yesterday. Considering the cost of tickets, travel and food it has already paid for itself. However I would still rather have been at the game. I use Wigan TV a lot when abroad and despite some slightly dodgy commentary I think that it is great value for money. Some of the away games at U19s depend on where the camera is sited and it is not always ideal but generally I would recommend it.

Think they have got a bit complacent, game highlights, interviews seem to be the norm, see what Les Chapman does on Man City TV, lots more content behind the scenes, yes did think about not going yesterday and putting my £20 towards Wigan TV, but in the end wanted some live action, just thawed out !

fine as far as I'm concerned. When it's not the Sky pictures I do miss the replays when it's hard to see who scored, etc, but for what it costs, well worth it in my view.

I don't even mind the "Moooooose!; Jeez, it's just a bit of fun. Rather that than Stevo and co wittering on (or, indeed, Rabbits, talking about anything except the game being shown).

Of course I live away and don't get to so many games; if I was local and went to 80% of matches, it might not seem so worthwhile.

I suspect lots more budget as well. For what its worth I volunteered to help on the commentary, likewise as I do on the radio.

Couldn't knock the coverage on Sunday. There was no issues with it picture wise and the commentary was good.

I see the Leigh chairman was bagging us for being more interested in getting numbers watching it on there then going to the ground. It is a fine line I suppose but he could have helped himself by not charging superleague prices to watch a mainly reserve Wigan side vs a championship club.

Like you said, hardly surprising given the prices. Would have cost us £45 just for the tickets if we went, instead i renewed my subscription and watched for a fiver (with much cheaper beer)

I increasingly get the impression that the Leigh chairman is a bit of a prat.

I suppose Leigh could have refused permission for Wigan TV to broadcast the game but it appears they either didn't or had no say in it. So some nice business for Wigan in getting a boost to Wigan TVs coffers and taking half of the gate money to boot (500 Wigan fans and 4000 Leigh fans). Lets hope we can keep those 4000 coming to the league games

The only issue that I have with it is that they put the score of the match on the video.

I couldn't get to the game this week, so I avoided the score and this site until my daughter and I could get round to watching it.

Pointless really, as you cannot watch the game without seeing the score first, so it was ruined for both of us before I saw a ball kicked.

Other than that, it's really good, but PLEASE - If anyone connected to Wigan TV reads this - Take the scores out of the name/description of the video.

It's small minded to think Wigan's catchment is just Wigan. How big is the world exactly? I know full well from doing radio that we have listeners all over the world.

Wigan TV could do with an unbiased pundit like....er Phil Clarke. He'd be sure to always balance up any biased commentary by favouring the team playing Wigan.
