| So the 2016 fixture list is out and we have 5 games on Thursdays and the home fixture against Hull KR on Easter Monday will not be st the DW because Latics are at home.
I wonder if this will impact on season ticket sales? The club have said on Twitter that the season ticket price is based on 14 home games.

I don't think saying it is based on 14 home games when there is a chance for 15 if we finish in the top four is going to cut much ice with those who think we should not be moving a game to London which is clearly going to happen again.
I just hope they don't make the same stupid mistake as in 2015 and move a CC game to Leigh as well.
If you are right and the HKR game is moved that won't go down as well either. Why could they not play it on a different day? They know the football fixture list so why even bother arranging a fixture that clashes?
As I mentioned in the season ticket thread the fact the home games are biased towards the start of the season and the team spends the best part of of two months on the road in early summer is not a good thing in my view. Personally it's bad as that means no point getting a season ticket for my son but regardless of that, from the team's point of view I just don't see how doing that is a good thing.

| Has it been confirmed that the HKR game can't be played at the DW? Lenegan said after the Millwall game that if (when) they do it again they'd prefer to do it during the regular season rather than the Super 8s. I wonder if the Easter Monday game will be earmarked as the "on the road" game?

(rhetorical question, but...) Why are we still playing second-fiddle to that bunch of 3rd tier prima donnas?

We aren't. Their fixture has already been announced, and has been since mid-June. Perhaps its the fault of the RFL for scheduling a home game for Wigan on Easter Monday.
If however this game ends up "on the road", then it needs to be addressed before the season starts, as potentially it could mean only 13 "home" fixtures at the DW.

It's Saints turn for the Good Friday game. Every team has one home game over the Easter period. The only possible change would be to swap venues with Hull KR, but that would mean we play them at home when the pitch is re-laid in June. Maybe they could do that and take the game to London in June?

| Should have been at Saints on Easter Monday then.
Its been known since mid June that the DW already had a fixture on Easter Monday 2016, and whether its 3rd division football, tiddlywinks, hockey or a wedding, the fact is that the DW was already earmarked for that date and any blame should be directed at those responsible for producing the fixtures. They've managed to accommodate a 6 week gap for pitch re-laying, so why on earth they couldn't sort out Easter Monday is beyond me. Unless of course this gives IL the perfect excuse for another "On the Road" show.

Emailed the club yesterday for clarification on the Easter Monday game, no reply as yet.

| I wouldn't hold my breath for a reply this side of Christmas. Changing the venue would mean only 13 guaranteed "home" fixtures, which, if announced now, would impact hugely on ST sales.
Simple solution would be to play the game on Tue evening and move the Warrington game back to Sunday @ 3pm, or if sky are hell-bent on televising it, the Saturday when they are currently planning to show Wakefield v Salford.

| Moving an Easter Monday game to a Tuesday night causes as many problems for supporters as it solves .

| Only for those who have far to travel, and they seem to cope with Friday 8pm fixtures throughout the season. A Tuesday 8pm fixture at Wigan in the middle of the school holidays is far more convenient to 10,000 than a 440 mile trek to London and back on Easter Monday.
