I personally don't think that's a fair way to judge the situation.
Plenty of guys might not become or even want to become a head coach. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be kept hold of.
FWIW I heard good things about Deacon as a coach but I've not necessarily seen this transfer into a postitive impact on the side. Our attack has stagnated since Harris left and our skills (carchching, passing) have got worse imo. It's not all Wane's fault so some has to filter down to the coaches like Deacon. |

No brainer for the individual.... Issue for RL as a whole. Whether he is the best asst Coach in the world or not is irrelevant.

Yeah of course they only go for the money. It's not like RU has anything to offer apart from money is it. The blinkers some RL fans have on for RU is ridiculous. 
What if a coach like Bitcon for example moved to cricket or football? Would the same lines be rolled out for that or is it just when someone moves to RU?
He's gone to a bigger sport which will offer him more opportunities along with more money. No brainer |

Be fair he's in a no win situation, if he says he's off for the money, some will call him a Judas. If he mouths platitudes about new challenges he gets called as a BS merchant. |

Wind your neck in a bit, all I said was he's gone for the money and please don't throw in the "more opportunities " card either, are there no opportunities in league? He was assistant at Wigan and assistant for GB the next step would be a head coach in the championship and then super league, how many more opportunities does he want? Good luck to him though, he's made his bed.

Not if it was to go and make a sport I hate better by bringing in attacking ideas and structures from the sport I love, putting more of a threat out there to the sport I love.
If Union starts to become a fast exciting attacking game by continuing to poach Rugby League's coaches, with the money it has, League will fall into very shaky ground. We would struggle to survive imo. |
