Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

I was a bit more flexible - I said "don't play them on a Thursday". I have just realised the error of my ways, the RFL will like this answer so expect Wednesday night rugby any time soon...

That was my reply also, but I did add that IF Thursday was the only available slot (obviously due to Sky) then the teams should be within a 20/30 mile radius of each other to allow fans easier travel. I also added that Hull v Wigan on a Thursday night is a ridiculous decision.

| Most people I have seen have replied with "dont play them on Thursday"; however, the survey misses out what should be the first question..."do you think games should be played on a Thursday?"
I despair when one of the questions relates to having 7pm kick offs on a Thursday evening. That would pretty much kill of the chances of anyone with a normal working schedule being able to get to the games.

The way the questions are worded suggests to me that Thursday games are here to stay.
With them asking about K.O. time, I guess their thinking is some people who have kids can't attend games at 8pm because they get home late and have school the next morning, but a lot wouldn't be able to make it any earlier with finishing work at 5/half 5. I could probably just about get to a home game for 7.30pm but any earlier and I'd be watching on TV.
For me personally, Thursdays aren't any different to Fridays tbh. I finish work at the same time and can still get to home games and local away games, but anything over the Pennines isn't going to happen.

That was the point I made earlier so as part of my reply I also said that any Thursday games should be kept within a 30 mile radius to allow fans of =both teams to attend. I accept Edinburgh Warriors point though, for him and other long distance supporters Thursday nights are almost impossible.

| I also made the point about clubs switching Sunday games to a Friday at short notice so they can have more rest time. Thursday games are a nonsense without having even more thrown into the scenario.

| I've never met a single fan who likes Thursday night games.
Do clubs and Sky not realise that it's not the 1930s where all fans of all clubs live within walking distance of the ground? There are fans down South of Northern clubs who would want to attend games and what chance do they have when so many games are on Thursday and even Friday nights? When did weekends stop being acceptable?
Wire are going to trial a ing 19:30 game on a Thursday...i can't really make 20:00 (if i left work on time i'd get to the game for about 20:15) games, but 19:30 will rule me out. Ridiculous!

| I'm one of those guys who live down South. I don't go to every game, nowhere near, but I try to get to the big matches, Leeds, Saints, etc. It's a 400 mile round trip for me, so that means an overnight stay. Fridays is just about doable, but Thursdays mean taking two days off work, and I can't justify that.
