| Hits 200 games for the club tomorrow and it seems to have gone quite under the radar for most, so thought he deserved some recognition.
Gets a lot of undeserved stick at times (some is warranted ha!) but that makes people forget how much of a good rugby player he is. Suits us down to the ground, as we're a physical side, and I wouldn't swap him for another hooker in Super League in my opinion.
Great servant for the club and let's hope a Micky Mac inspired performance helps us turn our away form around tomorrow.

I think Jamie Peacock will be getting the sticking plasters ready and Micky Mack may have to borrow a couple off him, the battle between the two is normally worth watching.

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

| I wish that mental micky would kick more from the play the ball catch people off guard plus it takes pressure off smith and williams to do other things.

Doing other things if not in the game plan is frowned upon at Wigan.

| If it's the 200th appearance for MM then make him captain for the day.
I wonder what Leeds would make of that?????????????

| I personally think he has struggled at times this season but that is not a reflection in what he has done prior to that in his Wigan career.
When he first turned up at top level I personally had no hope for him. Yes he could tackle but he was tactically very poor and his delivery was average at best. Whenever he came on the team lost all direction and our opposition used to claw their way back into the game.
He has developed so much since those days. He has become a leader both on the pitch and tactically around the pitch and a very clever player. His passing has improved significantly and he still gives us that intensity on the field that a team like Wigan miss massively if he is not there.
I like him most of all because I don't think he is naturally the most talented or gifted player. Sure he has the raw materials but nothing that would make him stand out from the crowd but he has clearly worked so hard on and off the field to get to the level he has reached.
I rarely buy into this line when we sign players "he will come in and be a great mentor for the younger lads" line but I think Mark Riddell deserves a bit of credit for developing the tactical side of MM's game as he improved so much throughout the time Riddell was at the club.
Congratulations MM on 200, here's to many more. As I said above I think he has been a bit hit and miss this year but what better opportunity than today to kick start his and the teams form.

| It's no surprise, is it? He was a kid coming through who learnt off a more experienced player. IMO for Riddell and MM we should be reading MM and Logan Tomkins in a couple of years but it seems the coach has other ideas. It puzzles me why front rowers don't seem to be given more time to mature but that's the subject of a thread on its own, apologies for slightly derailing this one.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Agreed again.. Logan is getting the same bad raps from posters here that MM got... i actually feel sorry for Logan, as many will feel he is in just because of his name. He is a very competent young player...

| Logan Tompkins was named in the Workington Town 19 man squad for todays game with Halifax but was recalled by Wigan this morning. Left us with no hooker and had to play Jamie Doran at 9. Big let down!!!!
