At 8.20am on Tuesday 23rd December 2014, a man went into Aspull Moor Post Office on Scot Lane.
He bought a packet of mints before producing a 12" knife and demanded cash.
The woman at the till refused his demands after which the man said he was only joking and left. He got into dark red or maroon hatchback car and drove towards Haigh Road on the wrong side of the road. He then turned around and drove along Bolton Road in the direction of Bolton.
Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the attempted robbery.

Does anyone recognise him? I'm sure I've seen him at matches but no idea what his name is. Also if anyone knows how to put the pic straight into the thread please do, I'm rubbish with technology
