Anybody know when you will be able to do the payment plan online for a season tkt, it says october but upto now nothing and it's now 15th oct

Yeah I was looking for it the other day, don't think it's available yet.

No rush though, you have until the end of November to renew.

Same here pretty vague info on website . maybe hoping we will get fed up and pay up front lol .

Its already working online. If you select your seats on the ticketing thingy and go through the usual process then when you get to the payment bit you can select the option of payment plan.

I did a test run the other day to see if it was online before I rung up and asked. You only find out right at the end of the process so its no wonder a lot of people think its not actually up and running yet.

If you have bad credit then don't bother applying using the payment option because you will get turned down, I have an awful feeling that this is going to affect attendances next season as people won't pay the inflated match day ticket price especially if they have been turned down for a season ticket.

Seems a bit if a rip off to me.

£20 arrangement fee so for me given the price of the two season tickets I buy it represents just over a 5% premium on that.

Also if you book online the calculator adds a £2.50 per ticket "card fee" to the price despite the fact you are not paying by card.

It even does this for the car park ticket if you buy one of those as well.

So to put two season tickets and a car park ticket on the plan would have the additional cost of £27.50.

It is NOT a 0% payment plan and the club should be shot for publicising it as such.

It certainly isn't the best value you can get (actually it compares reasonably against just dumping it on a card & paying off the minimum - it's not the worst deal on the market).
However, unless your credit rating is in the serious negative, you could get a zero-rate balance transfer card and use that to shuffle funds around for 12 months & thus get the early-bird discount & spread it across the year - so long as you pay it off IN FULL at the end.

There was always a % mark up if you paid in installments anyway. I can't remember what it was but Im sure it worked out more than a one off 20 quid payment.

I've seen a lot of people moaning about this. The movement to a payment plan is due to a law change not something the club have chosen to bring in. And surely for those who like to spread the cost of payment, 8 smaller installments is better than 4 larger ones? I agree that the 20 quid is effectively interest but if you pay for most things in installments as opposed to upfront it usually costs you more in the long run, car tax, insurance, TV licence for example.

I've put mine on my credit card. 5.9% apr compared to the 20% they're charging through the finance company.
