| Now that we are one game away from the end of the season how does everyone feel we have done? Highlights, lows etc...
It started with a poor performance against Huddersfield and then the World club against Sydney. Plenty of people made their minds up after 2 games that we was done and we wasn't going to do anything this year. As the season has progressed there has been some stand out games were we have shown why we are the current champions and should never be wrote off. Before a ball was kicked many predicted us to finish outside the top 2 and not to be involved in any of the finals with the loss of Sam, Paddy, Hansen and Mossop. We've had some great results, Saints away good friday, Leeds at the magic weekend and Catalans away are the top 3 for me. We finished the league well with the wins against Leeds and Wire which have given us a good platform for the playoffs. I don't think we can hide though that we have had some ordinary performances against teams that we would usually be expected to win, a long with the cup game against Cas those are the lows.
Moving to the game this week, there has been alot of talk about the injuries Saints currently have, people have short memories in sport and forget the problems we have had all through the year and I think the club, players and coaching staff deserve a lot of credit. We went through long spells without Green, McIlorum, Charnley, Flower, Pettybourne, Lockers as well as a couple of others. Those are just off the top of my head. I think that is the difference between the 2 sides this Saturday, had we of had similar problems coming into the game on Saturday I don't think we'd be making the same excuses as young players such as Williams, Powell, Hampshire have all played their part and that is something Saints don't currently have in those positions. The depth that we have is a massive difference.
I hope Green gets the send off he deserves, he's played a big part in our success and will be missed when he goes home. It's been another interesting season and I hope we get the result that the players and coaching staff deserve. Here's to a long week!

| I knew we were a chance of getting to OT again when we got results at Warrington and Saints. We've been patchy at times but when the team gets questioned they come out fighting. The win against Leeds at the Etihad was my highlight. I don't think I've wanted to win a league game as much in many years and it was a great effort.
The best thing about this year for me is we've made the final whilst being in transition to a point. We've had to bed in lads like Sarginson, Clubb and Bateman and all have improved hugely during their time at the club. The injuries we've suffered have actually done us a favour long term because guys like Williams, Powell, Manfredi, Burgess, Sutton and others have had more exposure to the first team then probably expected.
It's a season that could put us in great shape for future years. Normally that type of season means you finish outside the trophies but we've got a chance to take out the big prize on Saturday.
