Bilko your a top bloke your really interesting on the radio but can you please not put results from 100 years ago as nobody is interested in them! put some info on recent history on the forums main page

The old stuff is part of a wider project which is seeing me make a log and summarise every single match Wigan have ever played. I've done every game from 1921 to the current day already and these can be viewed if you look close enough, though some pages will be improved at a later time. They'll all become better accessible when it's all finished. I'm currently doing 1906 to 1921 and then will do 1895 to 1906 and it'll all be done, though some post war pages will be improved later on.

That process by the way was started by me in November 2012. So it's a long process but something I actually enjoy doing. It's more an off season thing but generally my spare time to do something I don't get any money for is more limited now and this the match previews I used to do have bitten the bullet. I still do modern match reports on first team and under 19s home games on the website but on top of doing a weekly bit for the local paper (unpaid volunteer) and radio (unpaid volunteer) the website is less of a fan site I suppose these days and more of an historical archive of our club. Thats my choice.

Mr Frisk, there's a PayPal link on bilkos site, I'm sure your opinion will be considered (even though it's wrong) if you contribute rather than barking orders at him on the forum.

FWIW, it is a shame that some of the fan site elements are longer there. I used to enjoy the match previews and I thought the man of the match voting was good. I know you had other people contributing to it earlier in the season, could you not get budding journos to write previews for you?

For a site that has been created by a fan in their spare time, it is excellent and some of the information on there you simply wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. I still find it shocking that the club have never recognised your hard work tbh.

maybe next year, I'll be able to do more fan site stuff. It wasn't for the lack of volunteers, more me not having time to organise this year.
