Viewing League from the North: |
|
| Can any Wigan fan help? I am hoping to attend both semi-finals of the Challenge Cup over the weekend of 8-11 August. Wigan seems like a good centre for travel to St Helens and Leigh. I have been informed that there is a bus service to both places, on Saturday to St Helens and Sunday to Leigh. Also, I intend staying at the new Premier Inn. Is this convenient for Wigan North Western Rail station and Wigan bus station? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

| New Premier Inn's probably about 10 mins walk to either the bus and train station so you should be reet.

It's the 658.
St Helens buses are 320 and 352 I think. You will need to check.

| 658 service to Leigh runs very close to the Premier Inn (along Warrington Lane/Warrington Road) rather than walking to Wigan bus station. LSV is 10 minutes walk from Leigh bus station, though there is the 597 service that operates from the bus station to the stadium.

| If there's more than one of you going, then you may as well get a taxi to Leigh. Dirt cheap.

| Wigan to Leigh 593/598....get off at Atherleigh way and its a short walk. Google Leigh miners rugby club, and you'll see the closest bus stop. You can catch it back from near miners club.
