He's been charged with a grade E offence of using verbal abuse based on race/colour/religion/sexual preference.
That carries a potential ban of between 4 and 8 matches.

If his only defence was 'I aimed it at another player and not the ref' he's not really got one. It may knock a game or two off but he should still be looking at a sizeable ban.
It's a shame for him because his form has been outstanding.

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

I can't find anything for Zak Hardaker on the RFL disciplinary pages.

The RFL's post says "an independent tribunal" ruled on this - what is different between them & the normal discipline board though? You could imply that the latter aren't independent based on that...which would explain so many things.  |
