Looking at that I guess it's between Sarginson and Gelling for a place on the wing outside Goulding (unless he moves Thornley but I'd be inclined to continue his pairing with Burgess). Then one of Sutton or James missing out.

I would like to see how Bateman goes at 13, rest Lockers and James and have Gelling, Pettyborne, Sutton and Williams on the bench. Clubb and Hughes in the pack

I would like to see Gelling get a run but not in the backs. With his size and handling skills he should be looking to run out wide as a second row. Perhaps he might shore up some of the leaks outwide in defence.

Who will kick ?

It will likely be between George Williams (kicked the last 3 at Dewsbury) and Sam Powell (took over kicking in some friendlies). We have a starting SH spot and a bench hooker spot which those two players will fill. The one that gets the start at SH will be likely to kick the goals for us. I wouldn't be too certain of who will get the starting berth out of the two. Ordinarily I would expect Powell to start but he is coming back from a month out with an ankle injury so that may affect whether he will 1) start the match and play the full 80 or 2) be given kicking responsibility and risk further injury.

If you are asking (as I suspect) with regard to the Fantasy SL competition I would look elsewhere for your kickers unless you want to risk being left with a non functioning kicker.

Having him not match fit for Saints by missing another game would be a bigger risk. Keeping him wrapped in cotton wool is no use as he won't be up to the fitness levels required for the big games if we do.

With the three players rested I'd expect the rest of the senior players to play. As I said on another thread we have yet to look convincing in SL game so far this season and I think Wane will be wary of putting a team of strangers out as it will do nothing to get the team to gel.

Lockers not fit enough for a game? Or match fit to be precise? With most players I'd be with you DaveO but this is Lockers.

Look at the second half of the WCC if you need proof that Lockers isn't a normal case. He was going harder, faster and with more commitment then any of the other 33 players in the game right until the last minute.

A training run against London is a pointless risk IMO.
