| Do you think it'll be a weakened team for London a lot of played rested as busy Easter weekend around the corner.

| Wane said in the paper today that he will probably rest a few but he hasn't decided on which ones yet.
I'd look to rest Burgess, Smith, Flower, Taylor, Faz and Lockers and go in with-
Bowen
Goulding
Sarginson
Thornley
Manfredi
Green
Powell
Crosby
McIlorum
Dudson
Hughes
Clubb
Bateman
Subs
Pettybourne
James
C Farrell
Williams
That should be enough to win quite comfortably. London are a championship standard team playing on superleague at the moment and one lacking confidence at that.

| I don't see the point in resting too many. It doesn't do the newcomers much good [inot[/i to be playing alongside the more established players.
The team is still new and partnerships like Thornley and Burgess still need time to gel. Lockers has been out for a long time so is hardly in need of a rest. The opposite in fact.
And if London are that poor the team won't have to exert itself much anyway. It can practice and improve its understanding. It also needs whatever centre/wing partnership is going to play over Easter now Josh is out to play. I am guessing Goulding/Sarginson.
It is not as if we have looked comfortable in a single SL game so far this season to be suggesting we can leave five or six players out. Not because I fear London (though it never does to disrespect the opposition) but because we still don't look like a team.
And last but not least while I like to see the younger players introduced gradually I don't want to watch a reserve team out there instead even if they can win. It is not what I pay to see.

| I'd try both Thornley and Manfredi on the wings, best one plays there v Saints. Plus that allows us to have a look at Gelling.I'd like to see us have a look at our fringe back rowers as well. I reckon Pettybourne might be a bit more effective there, not convinced he makes a big enough impact at prop. Better to debut C.Farrell now than when injuries inevitably hit before a big game

Agree with you winning comfortably and London being championship standard but the strange thing is they don't lack confidence, it's strange really they are kids on the fringes of first teams at their parent club, overseas lads with something to prove and a sprinkling of local London lads. I've watched London for a few seasons now and attitude wise this is one of the better teams I've seen, they just don't have the quality.
They're a good set of kids attitude wise.
Walk in the park for Wigan though, play your kids and i reckon a 25-35 point win, play your 1st string 50-60 points.

| London have some good kids coming thru'. I was very impressed by their u19s team last year who gave our lads a good game. This is a potential banana skin and we shouldn't go into the match planning to rest half the team. On paper this should be an easy win but I think London will up their game and make us struggle.

Just going off the Cas game really. They looked short of confidence that night but they put in a fair effort last week at Catalans. I've been impressed with a couple of the young lads (McMeekan especially) and it's good to see they've had those guys to fall back on.
I'd love to see them put a run together at some point but its tough to see it.

| I'm in a huge minority but I'd go strong this week with a view to being as ready as we can be for Good Friday! Burgess and thornley need to play to keep working on a promising partnership and on the other side, it's got to be Sarginson outside of Goulding. Loads more SL experience than Manfredi who hasn't played since getting injured on loan at Salford.
Bowen
Sarginson
Goulding
Thornley
Burgess
Green
Smith
Taylor
McIlorum
Crosby
Faz
Bateman
O'Loughlin
Pettybourne
Flower
Powell

| You lot could put your U-19s out, play a full game against Australia, get half the team injured and still put 50+ points on us.

| I would go with Bowen at 1 I feel he needs game time before Saints after a couple of weeks off.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

Neither is Smith.
I think Williams will start at #7 with Powell on the bench.
