I expect the likes of Williams, Connor Farrell, Manfredi etc, etc will get some time up there during the season.

They'll be made very welcome. We already have Tierney, Murphy and Lever on a month's loan. Of those three, Tierney has showed some real quality at times and has a lot of potential, Murphy can do some good things but counters it with a very high error rate (e.g. catches a difficult spiralling bomb then runs forward and drops the ball unopposed), and young Lever has been slightly out of his depth in that he isn't yet physically up to playing in the pack at this level but will no doubt improve. I'd be happy to have Tierney on a season long loan.

Derwent, when Tierney and Murphy are in the team together which positions do they play?, the reason I ask is because through there junior careers both have been seen predominantly as fullbacks.

Tierney has played full back in all 3 games, Murphy has played 1 at centre and 2 on the wing.

I disagree with Derwent on what he wrote. All 3 players have played well in their first three games and I thought Lever was outstanding last week and he got high marks in the League weekly. I think for a young 18 year old forward he looks good.
I think Tierney is also quality and no doubt with Vievers as our new coach he can only improve.

I was surprised Lever was mentioned by Derwent as physically not looking ready because in pre season he looked very much ready in that respect. He's a big lad for 18 and this spell will do him the world of good. I expect to see him make his debut for us this year.

Always liked Lever in the u19s. Really hits hard for his size at that level and think he will progress well as he bulks up.

I agree with derwent, tierney looks the part and is having a good spell at town. Murphy will probably lose his place when Elliot miller returns from injury as there isn't a better winger in the championship than him, and at present we're starting with 3 full backs because our Scottish international Brett carter is normally 1st choice but has been moved to the wing to accommodate Lewis. Lever hasn't shown much so far but it's early days, I think he's main problem is game time as he's interchanging with Karl olstrum at loose and Karl is a work horse and one of our better players, so levers game time is usually limited. But he put his hand up in awful conditions on Sunday and never put a foot wrong.
