| Despite our poor form in recent weeks I think Pat Richards has been very consistent once again this season and although he has not done anything flash I thought that his kicking was outstanding tonight and to the point where this quality is almost being taken for granted.
When the forwards need a rest he is one of the first players we rely on to take the ball up strongly and in this respect I think he is a leader of the backs - he really leads by example.
His drop-outs were also brilliant again tonight and overall Hudderfield handled them well but he always challenges the ball receiver with both the direction and length of his kicks.
Richards is going to be a hard act to replace next season.

| I actually think he's been pretty average this year apart from when its mattered. He was excellent in our cup run and again tonight. He kicks well when he had to and we'll certainly miss him both as a player and a person.
The time however feels as though its about right. He'll go out a legend and won't be somebody who played on too long.

I think Charnley has quite rightly taken a lot of the lime light this season but tonight highlighted why Richards is so important to Wigan.
We will really miss those long range drop outs!

| He's not been that good since he got injured in the '10 final but his kicking is brilliant, a Wigan legend that I'll miss a lot even though the time is right

| His best game for a long time, his goal kicking on the ball just when it matters, it would be great if he finished his time with us with the double, thanks for everything Pat !!!!!

He's going back to Aus because Thornley won't pass to him?! How fickle do you think he is? He's going back to Aus because his kids are of the age to start school, and he wants to have them settled in Aus.

| Definitely a Wigan legend but I think it's the right time to leave. His kicking is fantastic and his defence doesn't let us down, but sadly he's only going to get slower and I think his lack of pace hinders our left hand attack from deep at times. We've got some good young wingers coming through and I think you can't hold them back much longer.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Thornley always seems to draw the opposition winger in, then cuts inside

To be fair we've never replaced Gleeson or George. Great pair of centres when they were with us.

Sense of humour failure?
