Rugby League World Cup 2013 (RLWC2013) is coming and you have an opportunity to buy tickets to one of the biggest sporting events in the UK this year, and to make a huge difference to children in Papua New Guinea (PNG) as the Rugby Football League works in conjunction with the Stanley Gene Foundation to help change lives.
On Sunday 27 October, Hull will host its very first RLWC2013 game as PNG take on France at the home of Hull Kingston Rovers – MS3 Craven Park, kick off at 4.00pm.
The same venue also stages the game between PNG and Samoa on Monday 4 November, kick off at 8.00pm.
Hull is a hotbed of rugby league, with some very strong links to PNG. None more so than being the adopted city of former PNG rugby league star and ex-Hull Kingston Rovers & Hull FC player Stanley Gene.
Stanley recognises the invaluable contribution rugby league and Hull has made to his life in the UK, so much so that he’s set up his own foundation to help people back home in his native PNG.
The Stanley Gene Foundation is committed to reaching the unreachable communities of PNG and educating young Papua New Guineans in order to give them the tools to make a better future for themselves.
RLWC2013 has witnessed the work of the Stanley Gene Foundation and the results they’re achieving and they have very kindly created Hull’s own special promotional code for both of the games at MS3 Craven Park.
The code is SGF.
For each ticket purchased for the games at MS3 Craven Park using code SGF, RLWC2013 will donate £5.00 to the foundation.
Tickets can be purchased online at
www.rlwc2013.com/ or by calling the ticket hotline 0844 847 2013 – but remember to use or quote the code SGF.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards
The Stanley Gene Foundation
