I think Wigan seem worried about our attendance for Monday. I have been sent so many emails about the monday game emphasising that there are still tickets available.

Even got an essay of an email about the history between the two clubs.

I hope they are worried, Monday is such a bad night to play.
My wife's family are from Widnes, it should have been a big family get together at the game, now we can't go at all as the lads are at school on Tuesday and the Widnes lot wont travel in the evening.
Hope the problems of Monday rugby are recognised and its done away with for good (not just when the football season restarts.)

aslong as sky are getting good viewing numbers for monday night game theyre here to stay!! sky don't care about fans getting to games they care about fans watching the games on TV

It doesnt help that they are charging full whack for it.

Someday the RFL will realise that people will not pay to attend cup ties when they are on TV.

They are not charging full whack! With a season ticket holder discount mine cost £14.

The problem is that all RL and football clubs are actively trying to get their fans to buy season tickets to get the cash in the bank over the close season to keep some cash flow going and to guarantee good ticket sales for all league matches. When it comes to the cup/play-offs however, the fans are reluctant to shell out as they are no longer in the habit of having to pay for each game.

Additionally, I think that the way the RFL divides up the money from the play-offs prevents clubs from lowering the prices as they are ordered charge their standard "pay on the gate "price. If I remember what IFL said at a fans forum correctly it is far more lucrative to win the Challenge Cup than the grand Final as for the Cup the bulk of the gate money goes to the finalists where as all money from the play-offs/grand final is divided up equally between the qualifying clubs.

Cost me 8 quid for the south stand, hardly full whack.

Monday night is a stupid day and time for a cup Quarter Final.Kids in school next day and parents and families from Widnes wont travel due to this day.Been on sky does not help and i expect Wigan to smash Widnes.

The CC has been attended poorly for a long time, the Monday fixtures are hard to attend now Thursday is being considered for SL games.

Weekends are ideal to attend with a family but all such considerations come second to SKY viewing figures. What good is a season ticket if the games can be spread Thursday - Monday. Living locally I am ok to attend even if games are switched but I do feel for the fans who are suffering

is it just me or have all the games been poor this weekend? loads of knock ons and bad plays. Warrington have scored some fantastic try's but huddersfield have been as poor as sheffield and catalan in their games.

Got to agree three poor games, all credit to Wire I thought they were excellent.
