| It's not very often that the RFL could be seen as deserving for a pat on the back but i think they've done a excellent job with the Magic Weekend.
I'm really impressed with the Ethiad as a venue as I think it creates more of a party atmosphere due to the bars surrounding the stadium. On a nice day like yesterday both outside and inside the stadium was bouncing and i don't think there are many other venues that can offer the same set up.
I really hope they stick with the concept and keep it in Manchester as well.

| I've been to every magic weekend to date and have always enjoyed them. I was though expecting better crowds then turned up especially considering they announced 65k had been sold on Wednesday last week.
61k is a decent turnout but it really needs to kick on now IMO. It's at the correct venue IMO although Cardiff was great as well but we now need to be pushing it up to 35-40,000 per day.

| A Man City supporting mate showed me an image of the beer prices from City's final league match - £3.70 a pint compared to yesterday at £4.30 a pint.
When he spoke to the management he was advised that it was the RFL that had hiked the food and drinks prices up. Not happy with this at all - £2.50 for a bottle of coke is scandalous bearing in mind it's an all day event. The same bottle was £2.00 at the Liverpool Echo Arena the day before and that's a captured audience over a couple of hours.
If the RFL are to make a go of this event they really need to cater for spectators (especially families) whilst in the stadium.
