| I was half expecting Thornley to drop out for Gelling after his defensive nightmare against Hull.

It could still happen. Huges and Goulding as centres.

| This theory that Gelling is no good on the wing but will be fine playing at centre baffles me. If his positioning on the wing is so bad then who's to say it won't be from the centres as well, where he's got players either side of him relying on him to be in the right position. Thornley had a shocker last week but is our best option for the LC position IMO. Has anyone actually ever seen Gelling play as a centre at any level other than u20s?
One of Gelling's key attributes is the yards he makes when returning the ball as a winger. I might be wrong and he might be a perfectly capable SL centre, just really don't get this theory that he's never a winger and should be put in at centre. I still think Pat has looked uneasy at times defending outside someone other than George for the first time in a few seasons and needs to build up an understanding with a regular centre, not being chopped and changed between Thornley, Hughes and Gelling.

| I read yesterday that gelling can't get any game time due to Richards playing and visa restrictions, if he isn't able to play in games then he needs to make the most of tonights game? Personally I don't think he cuts the mustard and we need a better wing/ if we're to continue moving forward??

More than likely he is the better kicker of the three (Charnley/Tomkins).

He was also less than impressive against Bradford and I could not help but think that if that had been Gelling people would of been on his back.
He deserves a chance.
