| why did our so called top playmakers not think of a chip over the top when leeds were rushing up in defence... a few of these would have made leeds hesitate and stop them rushing up quickly thus giving us more time with ball in hand... and while i`m on one...why did we not kick early in the tackle count and play leeds in their own 25.... no variation in our play.....looked very very poor tonight...leeds were there for the taking....

What I can't understand is that when Leeds had us penned on our own line why not give the ball to Richards and just boot it down the field early?!
He is the obvious choice with the boot in terms of gaining territory and releasing some pressure but we never use him.

It's usually because people moan that its a union tactic but I'd rather put them on the back foot and chase it down and hold them at their own end than risk giving them a set right near our own line. Richards could easily kick from our ten to theirs so I don't get why it isn't done either.
We were outplayed by Leeds tactics and we had no comeback as long as they were kicking to charnley (who would usually be Tomkins first receiver of course) he was played pretty much out of the game and that hurt us in the metres as that's usually good for at least ten metres so we were going from 1st on the 25-40 to 1st on or around our own 10.

| I'm just an old muppet but players like Shaun Edwards or Alex Murhpy would have kicked Leeds to death over that 'rush' defence. Just not part of the game now, apparently.

| Leeds and Warrington have both employed a rush defence out wide against us to stop the moves. However nobody seems to have the rugby brain to employ the kick behind to mix it up to put doubt in the minds of the defence. It's like the days of Noble with no plan B.

| No brains in our team to do things like that and our half backs dont have the kicking ability to do it. Richards is on the wing and it really isnt practicable for him to get in the middle of the field to kick the ball, even if he did it would be obvious to the oppostion what was going to happen anyway.

No Plan B? I'm not even sure that Wane realises that a Plan B is allowed.
Couple this with a Chairman who loves the current playoff system, yet presides over a side that seemingly ignores talioring itself to it's structure, and you have a picture that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.............

| It is something Sam would've done. We would have put alot more on leeds last night with just that extra spark that sam brings to the team. Our defence was outstanding, to only concede one try in a semi final is something to be proud of.
