| In terms of the most successful it would have to be Kevin Sinfield, but in terms of what being a captain is all about then it's Farrell everytime!

| the fact is that when youre playing a team of stars, you dont have to be a good captain to win things.
the captain is the man that makes the team overachieve.
he turns losses into wins
he makes people play for him
on that basis the choice of skippers is poor. its an unoriginal poll based upon which teams have won the most.
faz is certainly our best skipper, but what do the other teams think ?
who was it that skippered cas in 1999 when they qualified for the play-offs and beat us in the 1st game at the JJB ? now that is what i call over-achieving.

| It's difficult to look beyond Faz, but that may be rose tinted lenses on. But at the same time I'm sure Leeds fans will vote for Sinfield as well.

| Personally, if i was a player i would want some one like Faz or Peacock leading the way.
I have voted for Faz for two reasons
1. I am a Wigan fan
2. He single handedly dragged a poor Wigan team from the front during the beginning of our dark days. Game after game he led from the front without compromise. Those who did not see he performances week in may not appreciate how much he did for us during that period.
One thing i will say, is that Captains are often knocked for not being vocal enough and screaming at players when under the sticks.
None of the above are really that vocal a player and are more renown for setting an example as opposed to ranting and raving. Farrell especially got stick from our speccie's for not having kittens when we had conceded.
Food for though perhaps, for those who think that a skipper needs to through a double 6 when the going gets tough.

| Farrell was a brilliant player for Wigan, and a great captain when we were in decline.
You could argue, in hindsight, that he did too much when we had quality players such as Lam and Furner who could have contributed more.
