I sort of understand the inclusion of Ablett in the 17. He can cover second row or centre but to actually start him at centre seems ridiculous.

Surely Brough is a better 6 than Sinfield too?

Other than the fact that he's not English, I don't really have too much of a problem with the inclusion of Chase but I would have paired him with Brough.

think you can add burrow to your highlighted list too. If there is no micky mac in the squad then you might aswell just let roby do the full 80. Cant believe brough hasnt been given a chance and jjb....no matter how hard he tries hes just not good enough. Why not give a young forward a chance to prove them self? and i can believe ablett is in the team. i wouldnt want him anywhere near the centre spot at wigan never mind england! i actually do think an all english wigan team would beat that england team minus the wigan players!

So much for picking form players when more than a third of the team come from the team in 9 th place in the league

It's an insult. As simple as that.

So not only has he picked Leroy Cudjoe over Darrell Goulding, he's now picked Carl Ablett over Leroy Cudjoe AND Darrell Goulding. An average second rower who covers for centre when Watkins is crocked has got the starting England centre jersey over two young & exciting centres in Cudjoe/Goulding. He also omitted Ryan Atkins earlier in the year.

Sinfield over Brough? Again a truly astounding decision. I can only hope that Brough has picked up a knock.

Words fail with me McNamara. You can see why he was so awful in his time at Bradford.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope we get spanked in both games. Surely then the RFL will have to do something. They hired the wrong man in the 1st place and now he keeps going with these constant poor squad and team choices. He clearly has a preference for certain players (ie who are from Leeds) and by picking these who have mostly been tried time and time again it's clearly detrimental for the youngsters who deserve a shot. He's clearly still thinking of playing Sinfield, Peacock etc right up to the World Cup and beyond.

The whole England set up at the minute is a complete joke and IMO it's all because of the coach. The players are there, we've got our strongest/most exciting pool of outside backs for a long time together with a good mixture of experienced (not past it) and young forwards. We just don't have a coach who can put the right squads/teams together with both the present and the future in mind, and when they get on the pitch they look clueless. Only in RL could a man get sacked from a club and end up coach of the country.

Maybe McNamara is thinking that when he inevitably gets sacked from the England job it will coincide with the inevitable sacking of McDermott at Leeds ... and then, well, who knows?

That's the only explanation I can think of for this love-affair he has with a team so low on ability and morale that they are not even in the top eight.

He has selected his squad to suit his tactics.

Kevin Sinfield is never an International Stand Off. Jonny Lomax and Danny Brough should be in the halves and Goulding should definatley be at Right Centre instead of bloody Carl Ablett. McIlroum not being selected is a complete and utter joke too. McBanana should be sacked.
