so the franchise system works eh, Super League has made RL a massive joke over the 16 years, we no longer compete with the Aussies, we occasionally get lucky, RL in London does not work, Top 8 play off system is a farce, RL was far more exciting during winter and last but not least the Franchise was supposed to stop the lower teams going bust yet here we have a former member of the top 4 on it's ar5e, bring back promotion and relegation and raise the cap to £2m FFS
Tom Burgess anyone?

| The RL decision on taking over Odsal makes more sense now; they must have been made aware of the situation. London and the Crusaders have received RL handouts in the past; I cant see them letting a bigger club like Bradford dissapear.

| Given that the RFL own the ground it's in the RFL's interest to keep the Bull in Super League. I wonder if we will see the Bulls go bankrupt and then reform and just happen to play at Ordsal and get back into Super League much quicker than most people would have thought possible.

He'd be the one I'd be interested in.
Maybe Kearney as a utility back? Whitehead possibly (though he's another second-rower).
Seems a bit tasteless talking about it like that, but selling off their playing stock is the best way for Bradford to raise some cash quickly.

Not tasteless at all... Can you imagine other fans if we were in this position. They would be crowing like hell!!!!
Terrible for the fans, and so much for the salary cap... Time to bin it...

| Put a 20k bid in for Burgess. They won't be able to turn it down.

They've got to raise £500K, of course they'll turn £20K down.

| 100K for Kearney would be my choice. Kearney at #1, Tomkins at 6, Finch at 7.

| If the club was to go bust in four weeks, why bother paying a transfer fee? All the players would be free agents. Forget Bugress/Whitehead - John Bateman will be the one clubs will be fighting for.
That aside, what horrific news to wake up to this morning. Not too long ago Bradford were part of the illustrious 'big four'. They're decline has been horrible to witness. This is terrible news for the game.
Asking supporters to cough up £100 and raise 500K in two and a half weeks just does not look like happening. Their board has a lot to answer for. They gave Elliot Whitehead a new five-year-deal only a couple of weeks ago!
